4. Californians - I lived there for 5 years, couldn't take them
Good riddance!
Greetings from the sunny Southern California.
4. Californians - I lived there for 5 years, couldn't take them
1. Starbucks - it's called a LARGE COFFEE, not a Vente or whatever
2. People who throw garbage out of their car, or ohterwise litter and pollute. Where I live, everything eventually washes into the ocean
3. Shoebies and Bennies. They litter and pollute, and clog up our roads
4. Californians - I lived there for 5 years, couldn't take them
Nice list. I totally agree with the Spanish pronunciation thing. My wife is Mexican-American and this kills her. Her 1st cousin (also Mexican-American) barely speaks a word of Spanish but insists on toe-mahl (vs toe-mal-ee) for tamale and tore-teeee-yaaah for tortilla.
I pretty much agree, but I don't see your problem with tortilla. How else you gonna say it?
-Passive aggressive people that don't just say what they are thinking in the moment then resent someone for not doing what THEY expect people to do, maybe even making some snide comment later implying people should know what they want, just say something for christs sake.
More:
8. People (usually agitated high schoolers) who hog the sidewalk by walking four abreast and you nearly have to step off the curb in order to avoid them.
13. People who seem to go into ******** slow-motion when at a fairgrounds or festival of some sort, you have to dodge them as it they're boulders.
14. Going to a near empty library and to the specific section where the book you want is located, and finding some moron standing exactly where your book is. So you go away, come back 10-15 minutes later, and he/she is still there!! This really makes my blood boil.
Yup, I know exactly what you mean.Cheap family members who never pick up the check.
We have one such family member. Ok, they have less money. Not a problem -- we don't expect them to treat everyone else.
What is annoying is how they order. They make no effort to economize -- say, split an entree, pass on an appetizer. When you let your ten year old kid order an expensive entree but eat only a few bites, that is not cool.

Lived there all my life, and can't agree more. escecially the 'San Francisco' types with their undeserved superiority complex and aires they like to put on. And their restaurants are the most overrated in the World.

Yeah hes really moving to a better place New Jersey is a real utopia. LOL.
I'll take Jersey any day of the week over Pretendland
#2) Non-handicapped people parking in a handicapped spot
Thats the first and last time I will ever hear that. New Jersey is an arm pit garbage dump state.[/QUOTE]
And the problem is...? See, here is the crux of the discussion:
Jerseyans, along with pretty much the rest of the country, don't think they are incredibly gifted, special, and superior people. Therefore we think it is OK to put up with or tolerate less than ideal situations, and even look on the bright side of these situations. OK, so we don't have breathtaking vistas everywhere you look, OK, we have hot humid summers and cold wet winters, OK, we have lots of industry and its by-products. So what?
Californians as a whole, think they ARE incredibly gifted, special, and very superior people, and their attitude in general SUCKS. That's all.
BTW, I personally know 3 other individuals besides myself that lived in Cali and couldn't stand it and came back to the Northeast, where real people live.

Is it really undeserved, though? I would argue that, on average, Californians ARE more gifted and special than any other state population, with the only other state having ANY stake at such a claim being New York, and I don't think New York is even close enough for that. States like Texas, Florida, Illinos, etc. are light years behind California. They may think highly of themselves, but it IS justified.

I don't mind this because many disabilities are invisible.
#1) Both parents having multiple alcoholic beverages while at a restaurant with their children (who's going to drive the kids home, even if you don't think the alcohol will affect you, why would you take that chance with your children?)
I was referring to cars parked in a handicap spot without any kind of handicapped decal or sticker. They just park there because they are too lazy to walk and extra 5 or 6 parking places.
TripleB
Wow. I....really don't have a reply to that.
Assuming that you're one of them, you have just demonstrated my opinion.

I do not question your experience, but you have just extrapolated the experience of the 3 or 4 and then imposed it on 30-40 millions.
I used to think the same way about a group of people I met in Jersey. But then they were at Princeton University and probably not even from Jersey.
People who bring babies to places where they clearly don't belong. Like movie theaters at night, to pick one example. There is simply no excuse for this.
People making fun of mentally handicapped people
People making fun of people with physical handicaps
People making fun of people period
Lastly, emabarresing someone in front of a large group. That drives me insane when people do that.
Confuse science with beliefs and opinions and religion or politics.

Yeah, Californians are what the rest of the world aspires to be when it evolves to a higher status

Sweeping generalizations only serve to make you look stupid.
It's fine if that was your experience in the area of CA that you lived in and traveled to but to label the entire state based on that experience is not logically sound. On top of that the tone of your posts just make you look like a petulant ass who finds it necessary to insult those who do not share your perspective.
Ever heard the joke about the guy with Alzheimer's? Or have you forgotten it already?
4. Women (usually from the hood, sorry but it's true)who bring their dozen kids into the store with them who proceed to dance, yell, screech, make quick darting movements, throw stuff around and just generally wreak havoc.
My grandma has Alzheimer's. Not cool.
So you've met my ex-girlfriend?I hate people who when they know someone else will be paying, will order the most expensive items on the menu because they know they won't have to pay for it.
You remind me of the people I went to college with. Ripping on the state they were in. Didn't have much of an answer for "if Jersey is so great, why did you have to leave to go to college?"1. Jerseyans tend to be 'real' people. ...
Native?Being from L.A...
Hate to break it to you, but that's a CA invention. Where I grew up - and when you travel back East and the Mid West (spelled this way to avoid TW *****'ing), the majority of people know the left land is the Passing and Fast Lane. Unfortunately, like many CA trends, it is slowly spreading to other states....Also, people who use the fast lane as, what I call, a "luxury" lane. They drive in the fast lane, but often at the same or slower speeds than the right lanes and refuse to move and force you to pass on the right.
Californians as a whole, think they ARE incredibly gifted, special, and very superior people, and their attitude in general SUCKS. That's all.
You should appreciate their spontaneous expression of childhood and joy. Not everyone wants to turn into a stiff guy working for a corporation.
Well, then you could get it too, as it may have a genetic component.
People who steal your spot at the gym when they know you just started. I just finished my first set on the preacher set and three guys come and take it over. The first guy tries to do 80 lbs and can't even budge it. Waste my time and won't let me finish my sets.

That was only half of my post you dolt. If you look again NJ thug bunny poasted that negative part about California.
My generalization was the first part regarding New Jersey.

Yes, my post was addressing Thug Bunny.
