TW Order Processing

Really like TW, but recently due to some stock issues I have an idea for TW to improve its order processing. Contact the customer (send e-mail) when their order is on hold due to items not being available or manufacturer issues - and offer choice to ship or wait until item is in stock.

Currently, I have an entire order on hold due to 2 items that were in stock when I placed my order, but somehow now they are no longer in stock and now the status of my order is now on hold until these items become available.

To make matters more frustrating is that the one item won't be available for another 7 days and the other is "uncertain" - that could mean 2-4-6 weeks, so how long should I wait?

Any one else experiencing such occurences when ordering? Just seems like a simple process to implement and extend the customer service experience with TW.

Call them and have them ship the stuff that is currently available and ship the other on-hold stuff as they become available.
