Wow, if Youzhny can break Djokovic this easily, Rafa is going to eat his serve alive.

Anyways, I think Djokovic needs a tough match to "wake him up".

That's good effort from Youzhny, breaking again after just being broken from being 40-0 up.

I wish fans wouldn't shout out during a service motion though.

What a joke of a match. Youzhny with over twice the unforced errors to winners, and Djokovic also with way more errors than winners yet still possibly winning in straights. This is a slam quarterfinal!! Matches like this almost make the Feddies look right when they say todays field lacks depth even worse than the Federer era did.

This is what happens when you lose Gulbis, Janowicz in 1st round. :(

It does. Federer's era included the likes of Hewitt, Roddick, Safin, Ferrero, Nalbandian, Coria, Davydenko etc. Great field of players! Nowadays, we have a pretty good top 8 or so.

Djokovic loses 1st set of Tourney. His game today reminds the one he has played post MC. Defensive right from start.

Think Novak still takes this in four but I think this might actually work out helping him, I think at this stage you probably don't want to be playing out a load of easy 6-2 6-1 6-1 wins, imagine being tested is a good thing ultimately ahead of a potential semi.

This is not looking good. Forehand going. Serve gone. No penetration. Feeling a bit sick.......
Youzny is cracking the ball tho.
Regroup 4th set....

Rafa is gonna steamroll barring some serious knee issue. His form is almost to a point where theres almost as big of an opening as Fed's and his contemporaries were. Rafa is just playing a MUCH higher level than anyone else right now IMO

I've said Nole has been burning out for a while now

There is no penetration in his shots today. It has gotta do with his grip. Hitting with more topspin. :(

Not sure why. Might be little low on confidence in his shots today. Needs that room for error. Hope he plays into form by the final.
Nadal is the favorite IMO as of now.

The top 4 is (or atleast was up until this year, we now see Federer's decline and Djokovic's is likely starting too) much stronger than the Federer era. Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, and even an old Federer (before this year) were all way better players than any of Hewitt, Roddick, Ljubicic, or Nalbandian, the top 4 outside of Federer back then. However the overall depth now is even poorer than the Federer era. There are 3 or 4 great players, 4 or 5 pretty good ones, and the rest kind of suck. It becomes even more obvious those rare times people outside even that 2nd group (eg- old Youzhny, Robredo) sneak into the quarters.

Yea.. I never would have guessed we would have seen Robredo or Youzhny in the quarters. That was kind of odd to say the least

Are you insinuating that it is easy to dig deep but hard to win slam in this era? :)

Someone need to strike his head and tell him that the flat forehand he was hitting in the past 3 matches is far more effective than this weirdo forehand.

Looks like Youzhny's tank is finally empty.

Poor performance from Nole. Hes not reaching the finals looking like this. He sure as hell isn't winning the whole thing unless he picks his level up another 10 notches
