After a bunch of demoes and a short stint with Prince I am back to the c10 and committed to using it over the winter. The more I use it, the more I like it. It is just so solid from everywhere on the court, as long as you use long strokes and finish your swings. The more I use it, the less of an issue the weight is.

Just let the racquet do the work. It feels great when you do that.

Not sure about the stripes on the throat but man that's a cool colorway. Always been a fan of grey/gunmetal colors, definitely not used enough.

What do you volks think of the new paint?

I like them. Prefer the Yellow version... but they are all very nice. Glad the RA is back at 62. One of my favourite racquets of all time. Already have 4 of the previous versions... so not sure I need more, but maybe when they are on sale in a few years time I may feel differently.

I like the base colors of the new V1 Evo…the grey and black cut with the yellow looks good, just not sure about the throat striping. I’m not sure I would’ve voted on the striping when the sales and marketing vote came around.

i wonder how this will play stock? I like the retro paint job and that they’re using red again on a 10

Not as head light as the current yellow version. 11.4 oz may be a good platform to customize if it needs it. I am currently play testing the new Prince tour 98. It's not bad, but still has that hollow feel that new frames seem to have. the C10 pro did not have that hollow feel and I hope this newer lighter version plays as solid as the original. If it does, it could be a great frame.

I like the standard Volkl yellow color they have used for years. It would be like John Deere changing their standard Deere green color some something " new" to get people to buy their tractors. It is just not working for me Volkl. Go back to the old Volkl yellow color.

Omg what were they thinking with that design?

I recently came across a frame that appears to be called the Volkl V4 Aerotop. Does anyone have any info? It appears to be a 102" frame, thin throat with wide tip, 310-315g unstrung.

Okay who's taking the plunge and going for the new C10 evo? I am still playtesting the new prince tour 98. the more I use it, the more underwhelmed I am with it. Not super stable, it has a real wide beam that I am having a hard time getting used to and it lacks any feel. Very muted flexy, lighter low powered frame. reminds me of the old yellow yonex frames from the early 2000's. It is good up at the net and is a good serving stick. I need to try some different string set ups on it before I bail. It is Okay off the ground, but no wow actor like Michelle was gushing about in her review.

I am going to take the plunge on C10 evo I think. I like the specs..maybe leather grip and over grip to bring it up a few points Hl.

have been tossing up a VCP 310 purchase but this interests me enough after playing the yonex

coming from a 10 year layoff a 2002 C 10 pro and a couple of vantage 100s

I've resisted the preorder, but if any L4s are still available after the first wave and once they're in stock, I'm sure I'll purchase. I've always said if the C-10 was just lighter ... Well, here it is. And the new Prince Tour, yeah, once I saw the 23mm beam spec, I immediately lost interest, unfairly or not.

Have you tried the v8 blade? Its definitely kind of holding down the spot for this type of frame I think

As a current C10 Pro player really intrigued to know if it’s possible to drop 20-25g static in the Evo and still retain the C10 feel and character, which is based so much on the sense of manageable weight. Or is this now in the Blade 16x19 category? I guess can always regard as a platform, to weigh up as close/far to the original as you want. Looking forward to the reviews !

I've been messing with a few of the Almagro Pro Stocks (painted as V-Sense 10 Tours). Classic Volkl 10 dampening and flex in a 19mm beam but with impressive stability at net and scalpel-like on slices. They come around 350g with lead/silicone/leather, but I've moved a bit of that around and trying to find a sweet spot in the 335-340g range. Some say Almagro hit the PB 10 Light heavily modified with a 16x19 drill pattern under various paint jobs. I think there's something to this. The pro stocks are more flexible/buttery/smooth than the retail 10 Tour and much better at net and on serve, imo.

But I can't rest easy on my newfound gems because I'll need to know/find out how the C-10 Evo compares with similar mods.

Hi all,

I've just received my demos of the EVO C10, EVO V1 and C10 Pro (2022 version). I thought I'd post a few pictures in case people found that of interest. I'm sorry that I can't measure specs and I haven't been told what strings and tension are in each frame. All I can is give my general impression of how each feels and performs. I'll try to hazard a guess at the strings but it will only be a guess. I can call Tennis Only later on to find out.

Given that plastic wrapper was still on one frame and they look like they haven't been touched, I'm assuming that I'm first person to get the demos. Not important but nice to see them so clean and without the strings.

First impressions: both C10 models have a really nice matt finish. I don't know if that was on previous versions but its the first time I've had on a C10. Reminds me of my old Prince Precision Graphite. As it gets really humid here in Brisbane I do appreciate frame that doesn't have a glossy or smooth finish. Not rubbery like the old iPrestige or the recent Wilson RF97. Regardless, its just personal preference. I like it, others might not. The EVO V1 just has a classic look that shouldn't offend anyone.
Pick-up weights are pretty much what you'd expect. The C10 feels like a C10. It's got good heft and doesn't swing quickly but its not overly sluggish. The C10 EVO feels like a reasonable pairing of enough weight to be stable but not so much its going to be a chore to swing. Of course, when I hit with it I might find it's in desperate need of added weight (to suit me, not everyone) but that won't take much effort. The V1 EVO feels close enough to spec but the added weight, compared to the regular V1 is very noticeable to me. Its the first V1 I've picked up and felt comfortable with. I don't know what recent V1s are like but this one does feel quite plush and lively all across the string bed. We'll see how that works out.

I've seen different figures quoted for SW of this one, did it feel like it might be a handful to swing fast?
