Thanks for the great review on the DNX 9. I have one on the way from Europe and wondered if you know the string pattern.

Normally I string 2 piece, but do not know the holes to skip or where to tie off the crosses. Will be stringing it with poly mains and synthetic gut crosses at 55 pounds.

Will write my review, once it is here.

yw barry. string it like the other 16mains Volkls....skip a hole on the last main on ea side. i think you know to string the x's from the top down. the tie offs should be evident. Volkl has string patterns on their websites.
hope you enjoy this frame as much as i am...it's really sweet.

Can you share where you're getting it and the cost ? Thanks.

I got it from Manchester in the United Kingdom and it cost £68.51 GBP, by the time conversions were done, and naturally the pound had a good day, plus the money conversion people got there cut, it costs $121. Shipping was $20. I think they have more, he offered me a second one for $65 pounds ($115), but I wanted to try it before committing to a 2nd racket. Plus I usually buy rackets from TW, but they do have this model. He only has 4 1/2 grip in stock, I like 4 5/8.
Don't know if this is a good price for the DNX 9, but I am looking forward to giving it a test run. Hopefully will be able to serve as well as Stepanek did at Rotterdam!

Thanks Barry. I think that price almost seems too good! But if you can get it at that price, that's great. I would have guessed a price equivalent to $170 or higher. I too buy most of my tennis stuff from TW so I'm hoping they can get this racket soon. In any event, I'm looking forward to your review. As a point of reference, what are you playing with now ? And what are you hoping to gain with the DNX9 (besides Stepanek's recent serving prowess, which I am as well! :)) ?

I was a long time 12oz+, HL racket user until a little over a year ago when I found the benefits of a lighter, tweener racket. While I really like the increased manueverability and racket head speed of the tweener, I really miss the more solid feel of the traditional players racket. I'm hoping the DNX9 can bridge the gap and deliver most of the benefits of both type rackets. The DNX9 specs seem to indicate that it might.
