Having loved the play test of the 325, is the 295 the same racquet minus the weight, different balance and paint Job I can just weight up to my spec? Or do I have to play test that one also with a lead tape reel to see what happens?

In theory you should be able to replicate the playability of the 325 with correct customization of the 295.

The advantage of the 295 is you can play with a slightly lighter spec if you desire and you can also match weight/balance/swingweight easily since you'll have more room to add weight before the racquet becomes too unwieldy. However, I also recommend you try it in stock form since I find it to play with surprising stability for its weight. Hitting it stock will also give you a better idea of where and how much weight you want to add.

Cheers,

Thanks Chris! I appreciated the play test video on this. As I gathered the inherent power in the 325 came from the weight. The idea of a platform racquet is not a bad one actually. Everyone I speak to on the TT forum kind of points me also to the 295. That way I can make it 8pts HL if I wish so. It'll be another fun play test guiding me to the right one! :)
I am going to try the sg V1 Pro along it since I found I like plush racquets more than "stiff" feeling. Is that right or should I rather test the sg8 300? I'll probably play test both. More a question of wich one first.

Thanks Chris for the kind advice and have a fantastic day!
