What people have been thinking about Novak over the last 10 years...

First everybody though that Novak will be solid top10 player, than he won a slam and everybody said that he is a one slam wonder and that he will never be number 1 or dominate tennis,than 2011 came and he won 3 slams and everyone said that it is just one amazing season, but novak has been dominating up until now. than everybody said that 2011 cant be repeated but 2015 came. and now everybody are saying that he cant reach federers 17 slams.. see the pattern??

I don't know if he can reach 17 Slams, but you are right. A lot of people, particularly when comparing Nole and Nadal, seem stuck in late 2013, when Nole was very good but not really at Nadal's level. But what Nole accomplished in the last two years is worth more than most player's careers. And he still isn't finished.

True, the goal posts just keep shifting. But I think that 17 slams goal post may be a bit too far for even Novak. He really needed to convert and convert big in 2012/2013 but he didn't.

He's got a better chance at 7 years no.1 than 17 slams, judging by his performance over the last few years.

With that and maybe 15,16 slams, he is right there with top 3 goats.

I think Djokovic should have multi slam seasons in both 2016 and 2017 in order to end up with 18+,and that with a weak early and mid 90's generations thrown in the equation.In short slim to none chances.
