What's The Difference: Babolat Pure Aero

Hello all!

I'm currently in the market for a new racquet, after many hours of research I feel fairly settled on the Babolat Pure Aero series, however, I'm here to ask about the difference between all the different Pure Aeros.
I see there are five different Pure Aeros that all appear to be very similar, what would be the difference between the; Pure Aero, Pure Aero Team, Pure Aero Tour, Pure Aero VS, and the Pure Aero VS Tour? Also, would it be worth considering the 27.5" 'Plus' version?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a lot,

VS and VS Tour are completely different frames. Thinner somewhat boxy beam in the hoop, dense 16x20 string pattern, smaller hoop.

Team and Tour are weight specifications. The Team has less weight overall (in handle and hoop), while the Tour has more weight, most of it in the handle.

If you’re happy with the Aero but willing to try something similar from the family, try the Plus and the Tour. The former will give you the advantages of a plus size frame while the latter will give you the advantages of a heavier, more HL frame.

Kind of wondering where you did your research, without knowing anything about all the racquets listed? I can't imagine it takes hours to click on the Tennis Warehouse site to get the specs of each.

Try this - buy one cheap/used, use it for a month or so, if you don't like it, unload it. Repeat as necessary.

For most racquets, the following is true if it is in the name

Tour= heavy version of the standard racquet, usually by half an ounce or more

Plus= Generally standard racquets are 27 inches, plus are usually longer, 27.5 or 28

Team= lighter and more powerful version of the standard version, usually about half an ounce or so

Lite= the lightest version of that racquet, will usually be way lighter than the standard

Some racquets have multiple of these iterations in one, such as a Pure Drive Tour Plus, meaning it is both heavier and longer than the standard version. Overall the pure aero/drive line is pretty universal and has much power and spin, but at the cost of possibly your joints as babolats tend to be stiffer
