When will Nadal end his Grand Slam SF drought?

When will we next see Nadal in the final 4?

The great Nadal is currently on a Grand Slam SF drought by his own high standards. None since he won RG 14

If he doesn't make the Semis in Melbourne it will be 2 years since Nadal played a Grand Slam Semi!

There has been 6 slams since then.

SFs

Djokovic 6
Federer 4
Wawrinka 3
Murray 3
Cilic 2
Tsonga 1
Dimitrov 1
Nishikori 1
Raonic 1
Berdych 1
Gasquet 1

I fully expect Nadal to end that drought (and more) by RG 16. I think he will win 1 Grand Slam in 2016 and reach at least the Semis in Melbourne (as long as no Nole in the QFs)

Presuming his ranking keeps improving as it has this year, then by RG he could be sailing into the semis no problem. Its possible for the AO too but im not expecting him to avoid the big guns before the quarters while his ranking is out of the top 4. His hard court play towards the end of the season here was encouraging mind you. Soon...

I would have expected more from Murray. Bad loss to Dimitrov in 2014 Wimbledon Quarters. Couldn't handle a peak Anderson in 2015 US Open Quarters. Should have never been seeded so low at 2014 US Open to face Djokovic in quarters.

Isn't it incredible that grandpa has reached 5 of the last 8 slam semis. Quite amazing considering since June 2013 no one thought he could handle best-of-five.

All this doesn't really matter, as Fed will likely not win any of those 5 slams yet Nadal has a good chance to win Roland Garros 2016.

You better wish he doesn't reach SF because he hardly loses in SFs.
Infact he might have the least losing record on SFS

How is Nadal still top 5 with such terrible slam results for 2 years?

The drought goes on.

These numbes are the best way to illustrate it. Like Stan has reached 5 slam semis since Rafa last made one

Hopefully he'll be back in the latter stages in Melbourne, I believe he can. La Decima is still possible too. The next 12 months could be (I pray to god) exciting

I have no doubt he has one more run left in him. He may go out early in the next 2 or 3 majors but that hardly matters.

Sixth sense tells me that he will end up with more majors than Novak.

He's done. Had the easiest road to a Semi at this year's Open and lost to Pouille. He just doesn't have it.
