Tennis needs something for everyone to talk about. The Djokovic juggernaut is stalled for now and either it has to resume or a new story around another player has to happen for people to get excited about. As SoD put it, right now it's same old same old. While that (say yet another Fedal match) may get fans talking during the slams, I don't think an IW encounter would have any great novelty about it. I mean, I would be curious to see how Fed's backhand holds up on a slow, high bouncing surface but it is interesting only at that level and is not very relevant for the overall rivalry at this point. All those who whined non stop about Djokovic's reign of terror will realise that at least having a challenger hot on the heels of Fedal created a buzz about tennis which is sorely missing right now. Even though we had Fedal play an epic AO final. Because people don't really expect it to repeat anytime soon. They/we sense it's probably a one off freak show.

For the record: Federer fans do not speak only when Federer plays Nadal, because Federer has been relevant for his entire career (and also in the last several years, that you spent in coma), which cannot be said about Nadal. At the highest level ultimately winning is what counts. No prizes for being runner up. I didnt see any federer fans saying nadal did great in australia. So as usual with the fedfanboy brigade its the usual duplicity.

What you say about winning is very different from what you were saying previously, so you indirectly admitted that you are simply trolling.
As to Federer fans not saying that Nadal did great in Australia you are simply making up stories. There is unequivocal agreement that he did well. It is just that Federer did even better and the focus is understandably on that.
The first doesn't preclude the second and you requiring from Federer fans to talk about how successful Nadal was in such circumstances is nothing short of hilarious.
Also, do not count your chickens .... it is too early. Let us see how will Nadal do when he is going the same path as does Federer now.
