Creating the Beast-- Customizing a Blade 104 to Serena Specs

So, out of interest and attempting to have something on the level of the RF97 plowthrough wise for my playtest, I'm going to mod up one of my 2013 Blade 104s to the most specific "Serena" Spec I could find--

was 345 strung, 22mm thick (basically the K Blade model painted like the white/black BLX), 27.5" long, 57RA and 390 swing weight!!! 3 overlapping strips of lead under the bumper per each side

she may have reduced the swingweight. thanks to mauro

I think I'll try to get the sw closer to the 360/370 range, as that seems to be more of a consensus number... will give it a test run later today and report back. I'm curious to see how powerful this thing is.

Let us know how it goes. That SW is massive. Love that the Blade 104 is so flexible. What an interesting offering from Wilson if you consider the target market (young girls/older women/etc).

My sister 16 uses it

She is 5'0

Hits as big as girls 9 inches taller and often outhits them

I have my 2015 Blade 104's up to 380 grams with 4 strips of 3 layer lead tape at 3 & 9 and bluetac in the tubes under a leather grip. Best racquet I have ever played with. Power and control with that great flex and comfort.

Well it felt really nice for warmups, and then I broke three strings at once :/ ... restringing it and trying again lol

Didn't get to try unfortunately :( hopefully the stringer can get it done so I can hit it this weekend. She looks purty with all the lead though, makes the RF97 almost feel dainty

LOLOL that's a funny thing to consider. I am even having some issues adjusting to getting the RF through the air on the kick serve. It's a lot of racket. Really can limit spin production if you don't increase tip speed enough

I don't think it's a like "fragile" feeling, but it feels kind of like the pro staff 90 does compared to other racquets, like compacted, a little lower powered... again, very strange feeling
