Nick's interview tirade against Nole is comparable to this lol? You are a very dim fellow. But I never suggested that this thread isn't worthy of having been created in the first place. My post "It's an indictment of the world that we live in that this is considered news." is not meant to suggest that this thread shouldn't exist, but rather a commentary on where we are as a society.

And for the record, I have nothing against Nick lol and Nick threads get strong ratings. You boiling down everything into fan loyalty and your lack of understanding of nuance are sad.

LOL.. If you care about thread ratings there isn’t anything wrong with this thread since this is also about Nick . If you concern is about the content , then this remark of Nick is on the same lines as his remarks earlier or as relevant or irrelevant as your troll thread about Nick failing at Stuttgart to Berrettini

Boy, you are so salty that you got exposed

My question for people here that understand slang well - what does it mean ? I have read at one news website that Kyrgios asked Shapovalov with that sentence did he please Djokovic oraly
In Australian slang, the noun form of chop ("getting a chop") is a one-night stand. The verb form ("I chopped up that exam") indicates a masterfully successful performance.

The 'Grand Slam' of local club cricket in Australia is achieving the 'three Cs' (century, circuit, chop). That is - scoring 100 runs, followed by a night out on the town drinking with the team, then taking home a girl afterwards.

Thanks for explanation. I guess from these examples you have provided, if chop up is related to person, it can mean some sort of sexual intercourse.

No - it is simply a matter of whether the word chop is used as a noun (thing) or a verb (action).

To 'chop' someone has no sexual connotations. To obtain a chop does.

What do you think Nick's comment was about ?

He was quite clearly asking if he'd destroyed him on the court.

Asking if he was making a sexual comment makes about as much sense as wondering if "did you bean him" means "did you hit him with a legume". The word is rendered completely different by the context.

Thank you very much. :)

Whatever meaning Nick intended it is pure stupidity.

I wish this guy could just stfu for the rest of his career and let his racquet do the talking. Such great talent but ruined by his idiocy.

I think his reply was him tryna act like he is cool with Ultron and everything is good. But it is not, Ultron will double bagel him next time they meet.

Am I right in thinking that Nole has won 3 majors since he last played Nick?

I'm a defender of Kyrgios in most respects, but Nick is living off past glories a bit too much here.

They really need to play each other again to get some more substance to the rivalry.

Until then, this is becoming a melodrama played out solely through social and mainstream media.

Please let there be a NK vs Nole match at Wimbledon.

Prob wont happen though since Nick will lose early to a guy like Ebden or Albot :cautious:
Or he could play Joe Kovic 1R and then lose to an Ebden or Albot. Should he survive that, a tasty 3R rematch with his new BFF FAA would be epic.

Well Shapo did beat Djokovic today in straights 7-6, 6-4..In the exhibition tournament they are playing 0_o

It seems like Shapo did take Nick's comment seriously!
