Don't really care anymore. Tennis needs new faces and new debates.
I'm kinda wishing the Big 3 woulda got overthrown while the window to do so was still open. Not only would Fed have ended up as GOAT, but it woulda saved the sport, which will likely now die.

Not necessarily, I like Djokovic as well and think Djokovic will get the most. But it's true Fed fans have large incentive to vote "yes" at this point.
I think from everything I've been reading over the years, that there's a very high correlation.

All I really care about is seeing good, interesting tennis from here on out. if it becomes 21-21-20 because of a Wimby '21 or USO '17 type draw, then I won't be thrilled, but that seems more likely at this point.

If it stays 20-20-20 because Nadal's foot is permanently f-cked and Djokovic loses his stamina and movement and we just see them decimated by old age, I'm not exactly going to be happy about that. And honestly, unless you're just an obsessive Fed fan, I don't see why you'd want to watch that. It would be sad to see these amazing players go down to old age without one last hurrah.

What I would want to see is more matches like AO '20 Thiem vs. Nadal and Olympics Zverev vs. Djokovic where a young guy comes with a strong plan and just outplays the Big 3 guy. Less matches like Sunday and AO '21 Tsitsipas Nadal where the older guys just fall apart.

Of course, there will be rough losses incoming for Djokodal, but I do want to see them both bring some good form for a couple tournaments or so. I really am hoping for one last epic Djokovic-Nadal match at some point.

Very good point

Hey guys, I don't mean to hijack the thread, but do any of you know where the video (taken during a Wimbledon (2019?)) is where Fed tells you how to hit a slice?

No, I'll take my chances on Djoker failing in Melbourne and Nadal getting there first at RG.

If Nadal gets to 21 first, all the pressure is back on Djoker.

No. Doesn't make sense for me.

Fed made 3 Finals at 33-34 losing to only prime Novak and then won 3 Slams at 35-36 beating Cilic & Nadal. Then choked a Slam at near age 38.

Nadal should win 1 more French and Novak 2-4 Slams.

As a Novak fan i think my answer is clear .Fed fans answer is also clear. I am wondering about Rafa fans-would they ve gamble one last RG title or DCGS at AO risk knowing Novak is favourite at 3 of the 4 majors

Based on Djoker's actual level of play in 2021, yes I would. He's not a lock moving forward.

Part of me is mixed on this, as I truly like and respect all three.
My rooting interest is about equal parts Rafa and Novak -over Fed - and I also want to see other special players shine...but I can wait a couple years, as The Big 3 Era (despite the crazed partisanship) has been great.
So yes, let it play out, and see what more they can achieve - and if the rest of the tour is too good, or too young, so be it.

I would love to see Raf win that allusive next AO. That has been crazy. Would aslo love to see Fed somehow grab a Wimby, so for the tennis tradition of it. Djo can go pound sand...or whoever his side chick is atm.

I would not mind Federer to win 2-5 more slams and Novak-Rafa to chase him and continue playing till 25+ slams but sadly that is not possible.

Honestly only reason why I talk of weak eras is because Fed is older and done (since many years) while the other 2 were/are significantly young in the 16 onwards period to exploit these mugs, otherwise if they were all of the same age then I would not mind seeing the Big 3 win more and and more for the entire 2020s decade if I could.

Who wants to cheer for Sascha or Meddy or Stefan ??? R u kidding me? LOL ..... I can never connect with these guys on a like/dislike level, I am indifferent to these fellows, I don't care whether they win/lose, all of them play dull and ugly tennis.

As a viewer one could connect to Sampras-Agassi-Kuerten-Federer-Safin-Roddick-Nadal-Djokovic, all of these had some X Factor

Current generation of jokers have nothing to cheer them for, all of them are trash.

Compared to these losers even Murray had some X Factor I feel.

Tennis is in bad hands after Novak goes down.

It would be interesting if Nadal won RG, Djokovic won Wimbledon and 2 next gen players won the hard court slams. Both at 21 this time next year.

It would be fun to see them all end with the same amount. And I'd be happy with that.

But if we are talking strictly from a fan perspective then definitely Djokovic has the best odds to finish ahead. Unquestionably. Nadal and Federer fans would sign anywhere it finishing 20-20-20.

i disagree, nadals chances are nearly as good as djokovics.

If Federer and Nadal fans could transform their dudes into their 06/08 versions for the 2022 season I don't think they'd accept it, and I can't imagine any Djokovic fan would :-D A race ending in a tie would be a bit of an anticlimax, but I am very ready to see other guys winning now, so I'd say yes.

I honestly think that either of those three can win one more. Obviously it would be Wimbledon for Federer, the French for Nadal and a Hardcourt for Djokovic. So..... perhaps.

It's much too late for this. The Failed Gen had their chance to dethrone the 3 goats. Any victories the Failed Gen has over them now will not be because they stepped up but because the goats are aging, injured, etc... They have been that way for several years, Fed for much longer. At this point, anyone from the Failed Gen beating any of the 3 goats is not an impressive feat.

Djokovic already has a better record than the other two regardless of the equality in the slam tally.

The ATP needs to hang on to Fedal/Djoker as long as they can. If Medvedev is going to be your "Face of tennis", get ready to lose MILLIONS of viewers and dollars cause that dude's game is as boring as watching the Titanic for 3 hours

Djokovic just had a 3-slam season (almost four). Nadal's only time doing that was back in 2010. Nadal just had a zero-slam season, Djokovic's last time doing that was back in 2017. Nadal had a 17-12 advantage in 2018 and now they're tied. Not to mention he looks in worse shape physically.
