Let's try this a 3rd time...

Confirmed: Paris, Turin, DC
AO: TBD

I'm sorry but Novak's schedule is directly related to his perspective on vaccines. Does this mean we have to delete all of his scheduling threads?

I understand we don't want discussions to diverge into COVID-related discussions but can't we make an exception due to the obvious impacts here? We're talking about Novak's pet slam, he's at a tie for the slam record, just missed out on the Grand Slam a month ago. It's pretty big news, worthy of an exception.

Edit: Added DC

Actually, Fedals care a lot... hoping that he doesn't.
Correct. Fed loses to Djokovic in 2008,2011,2016,2020.
When Djokovic is going through a bad patch 2017,2018 he wins both.
Federer always has a chance at AO if Djokovic isn’t there to meet him and for Nadal based on 2019 and being 0-9 H2H on HC since 2013 both would care an awful lot if Djokovic wasn’t there

NOVAK FROM NEIGHBORS GETS A WINTER: Here is how the Djokovics behave on a ranch in Srem!

THE BEST Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic, took a short break from his professional engagements and is currently staying in Serbia with his family.

The Djokovics enjoy the oasis they created in Srem. As " Blic " reports, Novak and his family own an impressive property on the shores of Lake Pavlovac.

The locals received them with enthusiasm, and especially Novak left them without a text, who rented a carriage and decided to ride with his son Stefan near Fruška Gora.

The people he met along the way greeted him with enthusiasm, and the neighborhood welcomed the world's best tennis player and his family with open arms.

- The neighbors are delighted with the Djokovic family, they are especially close to their hearts because they are modest and down to earth, they behave like a normal family. The locals bring them vegetables and fruits unsprayed for the children every day, and the grandmothers offer them winter food, and Nole and Jelena always greet them with smiles, delighted with the warmth of the people they came across. They are always in a good mood and ready to talk - says the source of the mentioned portal, who adds:

- They go to the forest every day, explore the beautiful nature around Srem while the weather allows it. Children do not hesitate to get dirty, it can be seen that they are taught to stay outdoors, to play and find a hobby in what nature provides them. The home they have in Srem is a real little paradise for them.

why wouldn't you care if the top player, heavy favorite for the title and best candidate for GOAT is allowed to play a slam...it certainly would dilute whoever wins the title in his absence.
I agree but i doubt Djokovic fans would say RG2021 was diluted because Nadal was injured. Similarly if Nadal or especially Federer won AO 2022 and Djokovic was not there i can guarantee the media will not mention any diluting.
Many fans of Nadal and Federer would love Djokovic not to play Australia. So would i except i also hope Nadal and Federer do not play either. Everything Djokovic said the other day i happen to agree with.

Rafa could….. maybe… I havent checked in awhile, is he nearing anything resembling healthy? Last update didn’t sound great
Rafa is a lot better and pain free apparently but he probably will skip AO as he is unlikely to be match fit and will not make the mistake he made this season playing in Australia when he wss clearly nowehere near fit as it ended his season pretty much. Also he is not keen on the draconian restrictions in Australia as he likes to be free to enjoy a city on his off days.
Right now it could well be none of the Big 3 play Melbourne.

There won't be any draconian restrictions for players at AO 21. There will be no quarantine requirements by January so far as I can tell.

Well to be fair...win at AO is not guaranteed. Even if he plays its still going to be difficult to beat Tsits Med and Zverev
Oh it’s not just “not guaranteed”, I’d put hit odds at about 25-30% because he’s no lock to beat those dudes or even a few other guys. That’s why the idea of him skipping a slam when his odds will only continually go down every slam from here on out… pure insanity

Djokovic fans up in arms that anyone dare suggest that outside of his fans and the die hard tennis fans who like history, etc the rest of the tennis world- casuals, club players who prefer playing to watching but catch the slams, IW, etc, people working in the industry who enjoy the odd match- is indifferent to him.
A lot of arms up in the air!!!
Are other fan bases as deluded as to the impact their fav has on the tennis world in general?

Djokovic won Bercy + YEC back to back thrice. 2013, 2014 and 2015. He came close to winning both in 2018 but lost in both the finals.

Since 2019, he has not made YEC final. Looks difficult but not impossible. Thiem is out, Federer is out, some idiot like Ruud will make the draw. He/Tsitsipas/Hurkacz etc will be pretty easy pickings. Nole just need to be mindful of Medvedev/Zverev.

I remember going to a birthday party as a little kid. It was a good one- bouncy castles, clowns and a chocolate fountain all laid on. Anyway, there was a kid there. He was pretty high in the party pecking order. Maybe the sibling of the birthday kid, or best friend. It was a nice, sunny day and he wanted to swim in the pool. The thing is he didn’t want to wear a costume because he didn’t believe in swimming with one on. I remember him screaming about why to his parents, but I couldn’t make head or tail of it through all the tears and foot stamping. His parents kept telling him he was too old to swim without a costume. Anyway, they dragged him away and he had to sit out the party. Shame as he missed out on a ton of fun. Anyways.
