This isn't just posting your racket. This is posting your racket because you think the stringjob looks very unique.

I like looking at different stringjobs.

The Pulse appears to be available in Europe only:

IsoSpeed Pulse
Yes, I've seen the reviews on Stringforum for the Pulse. I actually thought that it was a hybrid at first, as the nearest few crosses are a bit washed out. Still curious what "For Players Only Professional" refers to.

Nickb,
I notice you have some lead on your POG Mid. I play with the same stick and have been considering adding some heft to my frame. Would you mind sharing how much lead you've added, where in position (it looks like it's a little higher up in the hoop) and if you've added any more in other places. (like in the handle to even out the balance)

Nice string choices btw.

Thanks much.

jonolau, how are the pro supex strings, you seem to be using the heck out of them?

Hi blabit. Yes, I'm sticking to Pro Supex as they give me the best bang-for-the buck. Many of my customers have embraced it as they really like the feel, performance and color! Even my next door neighbour's son who is our Junior Davis Cup player has now chosen full Blue Gear as his permanent setup. He breaks most polys in 2 days or less, but with Blue Gear, he's able to get double the lifespan with no compromise on playability.

Though it seems rather frivolous or trivial, many recreational players now like the fact that the strings come in different colors and I was surprised at the number of people who are requesting for strings to match their frame colors.

Does anyone have a picture of Luxilon Big Banger ALU Power in ice blue?

If someone does, get a picture where I can see the strings clearly because I really want to see what it looks like.

Hi,

I have 4 grams at 10 and 2 o clock and 4 grams at around 8 and 4 o clock on the racquet face. I switched to the POG Mid around 2 weeks ago after using the n90 on and off for 2 years....I found my groundstrokes and serve are alot better with the POG mid but the biggest part of my game volleys were a bit off...I added the lead and have found it volleys 10 times better...im now finding I volley even better with the POG mid and lead tape. I also wanted to get the swing weight up a bit as I like a heavier swingweight. It seems that lots of POG users are adding lead....it really helps. Give it a try...whats the worst that can happen?:)

ps what string setup you using?

Excellent! I pretty much feel the same way - my volleys and serve are 'okay' and was wondering if some added heft would help. I'm very glad to hear of your results. I'm definitely going to try your lead setup as a starting point. I once added some lead to the 9 and 3 o'clock positions, and didn't really love it.. so I'll try what you've done. Great stuff - thanks for sharing.

Regarding my string choice these days.. I tried a number of polys, and have come to the conclusion that it's not for me. I came close with SPPP and another softer copoly, but my arm just couldn't handle it with the frequency I play. I really like the feel and performance of a decent multi main and Gosen OG Micro cross. So right now I have going:

Main: Prince Premier Softflex 16 @ 65
Cross: Gosen OG Micro 17 @ 65

It doesn't last long.. but since I string my own it ends up not being that expensive. Looking forward to trying the lead setup.
Thanks again!

I like poly but I have also had some pain in the last few weeks. I only really use it becuase I break so many strings and a hybrid lasts longer for me. I have just got 3 reels of Micro 16 and will be trying a full setup and a gut hybrid....the stuff is so cheap I could restring full micro everyday anyway. Let me know how you like the lead....btw I used Unique lead tape 1/4 inch....http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpage-PSLT.html.

ahh, thanks for getting back at me JackRussel. The green colored Professional sounds nice, the gold/natural color is a bit boring :-o

To the poster requesting a picture of the Ice Blue Luxilon BB ALU:

Trust me, go with the gray. It looks much better. The blue doesn't look like blue added with white to make it lighter, it looks like white added with a little blue to give it some color. Again, go with the gray

Oh yes...I remember that...

@Pr0DiGy-the blue looked okay in the picture of the string on the forum, but if it really doesn't look that good then...

Well, if you're looking for like a Prince Shark Blue type of color, you're going to be way off. String my Six-One tour 90 (nCode) with the grey luxilon, and then strung my friend's Prince Shark with the ice blue, my friend thinking the ice blue would go great. Looked....well, let's just say he came back to me for a new stringjob in half the time he usually does.

Well, is ice really blue at all? As far as I know it's translucent. But, yes, the ice blue is a very very VERY light blue.

The blue pro hurricane is the half set for custom hybrids...white is the only colour for full sets.
