I hate to say but I am a big fan of fairy tales and Kyrgios winning WB feels like one.

Absolutely don't like the guy, but this can be our generation's slam story like 2000s had Goran's. Such an epic run.

2010s we had 3-4 guys killing dreams left right and center.

Don't you wanna feel that anything is possible again? What about a once in a life time story of redemption?

Kryngios winning Wimby wouldn’t be a fairytale, it would be a Greek tragedy.

Only a dark horse, black swan, some unlikely person who plays out of their mind can beat Djokovic. Players like Goffin and Ferrer, very consistent backboards don’t have what it takes because Djokovic is also a very consistent backboard, but to the absolutely highest level. We’ll need to see a Soderling or Istomin type performance.

Kyrgios v Novak final would actually make me root for Novak at Wimbledon for the first time in my life.

He wouldn’t even have to cry to get my sympathy like at the the USO.

All he has to do at this point, with this bizarre popularity he has, is show up one month per year fresher than the other players and make runs at Wimbledon.
Because you just know that no matter how far down the rankings he falls (even when grass points aren't enough to keep him afloat), they'll always have a wildcard ready for him because he's "entertaining" and "the game needs characters like Nick".

It's amazing how reliable the Wimbledon crowds are in terms of always rooting for the player I want to lose.

Goran was/is also an unlikeable nutter, so it would kind of make sense.

Kyrgios winning Wimbledon is what this sport deserves. I wouldn’t be salty if he beat Novak in a final.

I don't think Nick has what it takes to win a major tournament. I know I know he's very close now but his negative emotions and poor discipline separate Nick from GS champs. This probably is why he has/travels with no coach. He's had the draw of his dreams in this one but things are about to get rougher than he can handle. His lack of focus and unnecessary frustrations at the wrong time are gonna put him on the receiving end. My bet is that Nick's about to embarrass himself when the heat turns on this week.

Also how can he possibly win with such awful umpires who have no friends and are snitches and give him bad advice on his challenges and who think it’s all about them and don’t understand that people are there to see Nick?????

(Also, what you said. Which was much more mature and sound than my sarcastic angry rant.)

I think Nick is a buffoon, but also think it would still be better for men's tennis if someone...anyone...other than Oldalovic wins.

But buffoons don't win slams. If a fairytale is to happen, it won't be starring Nick Kyrgios.
Please let it be the good little elf.

I can't say it won't be a fun story. I would even call it epic. I'm a fan of chaos but not chaos winning in the end. The villain kills a few main characters or side guys off but then a hero comes along, with the strength to carry on.

I would rather Goran come back and win Wimbledon again than Nick win this title.
