both are totally different strings and they both have their pros and cons. If you are a baseliner go with the PHT if you are a serve and volleyer or spend a significant time at the net go with the NXT
I used to use the nxt tour, which is a great string. the nxt, however, started fraying for me after a day or two of play, and generally broke after 6 days of playing. Also, i noticed a lot of notching in the nxt, and i had to reset the strings position after every point because they moved so much. Then i switched over to the pro hurricane tour (after trying a few others), which is another great string. they dont move and are much more durable, so even in long rallies i can be confident that with each swing i take, the string-ball reaction is the same.
Depends on what kinda player you are. They are on total opposite ends of the spectrum.
The babolat is a poly which generally means stiff, lower powered, and durable.
The NXT is a multi which is the closest thing you can get to natural gut. high powered, good feel, and unless you're rich you'll probably run out of money trying to keep your racket strung.

Which string is better, Wilson NXT Tour 16 or Technifibre X-One Biophase 16 gauge. I know both of these strings are similar because they are multi's but which string do you people believe is better overall? I was looking to string a K 90 and im curious which one of these would be good for that racket.
I've tried both... Wilson NXT Tour16 is stiffer and crispier.
X-0ne 16g is softer, springy and probably more power - very much like Babolat Excel premium 16.
I prefered the NXT Tour16 - but be warned - it's stiffness is quite close to synthetics - with only slightly more power than synthetics but with more spin and bite. And no, it will not solve your TE. Go for X1 or Babolate Premium if you have TE.
Excellent choice. Also consider K Gut Pro (same price) for a slightly crisper feel. If you’re going to spend the money for Wilson’s NXT Tour, might as well spend the extra $5 for Wilson's new top of the line.
For those of us who are lucky enough to produce serious topspin with multifilaments that last 12-20 hours before breaking, it's hard to imagine using most polly strings – with almost no feel; dead by comparison. With poly, my volleys suffer most.

hmm I havn't tried K gut... will check it out soon... but multis are expensive stuff during the testing period..
I can certainly appreciate that, and cost should be a serious consideration. Many people feel that K Gut and K Gut Pro are overpriced, even though many also feel they play great.
Bottom line: Those who prefer Babolat Xcel or Gamma Professional, instead of Wilson NXT Tour –no need to try K Gut or K Gut Pro. But for those who really like NXT Tour – you might love K Gut and K Gut Pro – especially at mid/low tension.
To give you a bit more perspective, since you mentioned Xcel in a post above, I also played with it, as well as Gamma Professional. Both Xcel and Gamma Professional had good ball cupping (pocketing), in imitation of natural gut. But where natural gut is responsively crisp, Xcel and Gamma Professional were softer and more diffused, making it hard to tell exactly where the ball landed on the stringbed.
For me, K Gut and especially K Gut Pro have a lot more of natural gut’s crisp response along with ball cupping (pocketing), with spin, touch, feel and absolute control – while still being arm-friendly – especially at mid/low tension, which is rather protective against TE.
