i just received one of these racquets for trying and it is amazing. I have hit with the ozone tour which is a bit lighter, but still a good racquet. I think that this racquet plays exceptionally well. You would never guess the racket is 11.7 ounces when you are swinging it bc/ of the design. Just thought id throw this out that this racket is very nice and players might want to look into it. Also i was hoping for any responses for those that use or have tried it.

So strung, it should be about 12.1 oz? .5 oz seems to be the average string wright looking at unstrung-strung weight differentials, but obviously it varies.

Haven't cared enough to weigh mine, but I'd suspect that it would be in the 12.1-12.3 oz range strung without a dampener or overgrip.
I got mine and had it strung with Lux Timo 17g at 60 lbs. It has a little vibrattion at the beginning, but after around 45 min rallying, the string becomes softer and it's very nice. Spin comes naturally for serves and ground strokes. It's a very well balanced racquets. I am looking for another one now.

I feel sorry for your shoulders. Timo @ 60lbs? That's crazy. Timo is some of the stiffest string out there. On another note it's very nice that Prince has finally come out with a frame that has an 18x20 string pattern. It has a nice weight and thin beam to boot. Definitely worth a try in my book.

feels great. ive been trying out various rackets because i teach tennis for living. I love the feel of it and the balance. I strong it aroudn 56 and the ball still seemed like it was flying off hte racquet which was very weird. it might have been the 17 gauge prince tour string i used. Well anyways , my biggest complaint which would be true of adjusting to any heavier racket is just getting used to the weighting. my timing is a bit off and i hope that it comes in pretty soon. it almost seems like my grift might have to shift to a bit flatter and away from the western grip a bit because the racket drives your hand through the ball so much, which is a positive and a negative.

I'd pick a Poly main and mix with som PSGD cross. I'm using Big Banger mains and Prince SynGut in the cross and seems to feel really nice to me. Has that classic racket feel setup this way, atleast for me, and works for me. I'm at 59/63 but may come down a bit in tension next time I string them up.

Why did you switch? Can you give some more info comparing speedport tour with ozone?

The Speedports feel closer to a traditional racket. Has more pop and an open pattern.
The Ozone Pro Tour has a dense pattern, is about half an ounce heavier than the SP Tour, and lower powered.

I am finally a member of the Prince Ozone Pro Tour "club". My POPTs came in yesterday and I was able to hit with them last night. Aside from the grip feeling a bit larger than normal, I was very pleased with these racquets. It's like having the weight of the Prince Tour Diablo Mid, the string pattern of the Prince Rebel MP, and the headsize of the Prince Tour Diablo MP...simply awesome!

Does it mean that if i normally use L3 i should order L2 to get the same grip size?

IMO I would. I normally play with a L3 with a Tournagrip 2. I had to buy a Laserfibre Tourfit to reduce the grip size because the L3 was too big on the Ozone Pro Tour.

I normally play with a 4 5/8 (L5) plus an overgrip. Per my pro's recommendation to go to a smaller grip, I decided to try a 4 1/2 (L4) plus an overgrip. On my POPTs, the L4 grip felt like a L5 grip, somewhat defeating the purpose of going a bit smaller.
I regripped the handle for a lefty, pulled the grip on a bit tighter on the handle, then added an overgrip. My POPTs now feel closer to a L4.
If you don't plan to regrip and/or tighten this racquet's current grip, then I would also recommend dropping down a size.
