Georgia vs. Russia

Wow, lots to debate and discuss. I was in the military and served in two wars. I hate war. And yet, when anyone wanting a free and Democratic way of life battles to leave a dictator, I'm all in for another tip overseas. Considering the past, the Cold War, and how Russia is denying us the truth and lying about their current actions, I'm leaning towards pressuring the Russian government at all costs. I know we have recently asked for permission to plant warships within reach of Russia.

I feel another round of "Cold War" coming soon.

There is no right or wrong here in your thoughts. I'd love to hear your thoughts and reasons behind them.

I for one, say we need to back the "little guy" that is trying to separate themselves from the dictator and requesting our help and available means...

What are your thoughts on Georgia/Russia?

Quick question to OP – when you say “little guy”, do you mean:

(a) Georgean paramilitary who actually started the physical conflict by walking into S Ossetia houses to kill women and children and loot the houses, or

(b) US/NATO special ops forces who trained them?

Don't mess with me. I mean little guy that wants Democracy when facing the former Russian government.

I would never mess with anyone, I was only curious as to what you meant by "little guy" and tried to make it an easy question by arranging it in a multiple-choice format. Are you having difficulty chosing between (a) and (b)?

It is funny how when a county that leaves a communist party moves to a democratic world and other democratic nations try and help them they are perceived as a-holes. And, it is sad none-the-less...
