I just bought a Head Softac Traction to replace a crapy original grip on my Head Ti.Carbon. I think it will work for now, but it doesnt feel too solid. What is the best quality Head replacement base grip?

I think there are fans of head's leather grip out there, but I personally like their hydrosorb. that grip has it all.

tried out a racket w/ a leather base grip, gave me a wicked blister. i know it will be covered with overgrip, but still idk. the only base grip i know by name is hydrosorb, i think that may be the way to go. theyre pretty durable right? I think the base grip on my LM Radical was hydrosorb, and that lasted, never wore or tore either
does white or black make a difference? one isnt meant to mean better quality right?

There shouldn't be any difference when it comes to the color. For the record, the one I was referring to was the white one. and by durable, do you mean that it retains its tackiness or that it doesn't peel? cuz either way, I've never had a problem with the hydrosorb.

oh, i remembered the hydro part then I guess.
I always use an overgrip (tournagrip 99.9% of the time, love the stuff) so im not too worried about wear from my hand. but I want it to last a long time regardless

Do you use overgrip? It should last a very long time if if you always use overgrip.
I have found that I actually prefer the Hydrosorb Tour grip over regular Hydrosorb.

It will take a while to get used to the leather but after you break you hand in...you cant beat. Put a gamma supreme OG on it and I wont use anything else...well babolat leather is goo as well

I'm not too sure about the difference of those two grips, but they are not very good base (replacement) grips at all. Head Hydrosorb is much better.
