Advice Needed

My first post, so Hi everyone.
Ive just recently started playing a lot of tennis, but Im having major problems with my strings (Id never paid much attention to strings before). Basically I keep breaking them after a couple of sessions. Usually I just go to the local sports shop and get a set of Babolat hybrids they sell there, but this is costing me almost £50 every month.

Long story short, I need recommendations on reasonably cheap strings, which allow lots of heavy top spin, power and are good for baseline play. I normally play with a tension of 66lbs.

Im a complete novice when it comes to string knowledge.
Help would be much appreciated, string names/tensions/combinations.

If you aren't willing to buy your own machine and learn, then you have less options obviously.

What Babolat hybrid are you getting. Usually when I hear this it's a Pro Hurricane/Tour main and either an XCel or syn gut cross.

I would reccomend something of good value which won't break the bank like MSV Focus Hex, or Hepta Twist for more spin. If you need it a bit softer a multi cross such as maxim touch for the cheap price, or a natural gut would work well.

i was specifically asking about headsize and stringpattern - there are more aerogel models, so which one?

I dont really know tbh perfectly honest with you. Ive played tennis for a while, just socially but only recently started playing more. Usually the shop where I get it strung from replace it with the same stuff Ive always had.

Yeh one of the guys I play with did say about a machine, but I dont know how often Id be playing a couple of months from now, so I dunno if that would be wise to spend that much money on one.

Kays, this is straight from the racket.
String Pattern - 16 x 19
Headsize - 100 sq inch
Dunlop 400
Thats all I could find.

Oh and the current string, I just noticed on with the name on it are Babolat Pro Hurricanes.

The other racquet I use is a Wilson Hyper Hammer
Which has max tension 63lbs
String Pattern - 16 x 19
Headsize - 100 sq 1nch

maybe you should try a thicker gauge for the beginning. 16 mains patterns are breaking strings more often - on the other hand while you increase durability you will get less spin.
if you like shaped strings, there are quite a few options in the market which are less expensive than the hurricane tour. personally i haven't gone into these shaped strings so far.

This string right here. Ashaway Crossfire 17 Kevlar String. Why? Because its kevlar for the mains. Mains are the strings that go long ways on the racket which usually break first. Being 17g its thin and this will allow for more bite or more spin and BTW more playability. Kevlar is the most durable string Tennis Warehouse sells.

Okay so those for the mains, and what else for the horizontal strings?

It already comes with a nice 16g cross string. So no extra spending needed.
Its the mains thats the concern normally.

if you go "kevlar" make sure you string lower than 60lbs. kevlar is very stiff.

True, but I'm pretty sure mid range on his racket wont be a problem.
