Gosen strings- sea and island

Dont hear alot about Gosen strings in the threads. Japanese strings, wonder if they have good feel, quality, etc. Some that look interesting by theirdescription are Polymaster, Polynon Polybreak, Powermaster, Compositemaster and Sidewinder. They use the sea and island or flat construction to generate spin.

Has anyone tried any of them?

I like Polylon Comfort alot. I tried it twice, but still haven't nailed down my favorite tension yet. It's soft yet crisp and gives plenty of spin with easy flat hitting as well. I've read in the TWU string comparison tool that it loses tension fairly quickly. It's a first generation poly and it's very affordable.

Gosen OGSM is my favorite synthetic (and I'm very critical of using syn gut), and Polylon is one of my favorite polys. You can't go wrong with either of them.

I use Gosen Polylons a lot as of late. The cheaper poly's from Gosen don't really hold tension very well but they're a 1st Gen poly and cheap. Other than the tension loss I think they're a very solid string with pretty good control, decent spin, and exceptional durability. I prefer a stiff string at lower tension and these fit the bill and since I like the tension a little lower so the tension drop doesn't bother me as much. My normal game time string is either CyberFlash or Alu but Polylons are fine too.

If I do go hybrid I exclusively use OG Sheep.

Never tried the other flat strings but they do look interesting.

Haven't found outrageous tension loss after 9 hours of hitting (strung at 60, came off stringer at avg of 57, still around 52-54 atm).

After a few hours of hard rallying and doing rally drills the polylon did loose noticeable tension for me. Personally I'm the type of player that uses the string till it breaks and a full bed of polylon lasts me a solid 2 weeks maybe a little more till it breaks. The string feels spongy by then lol. The only strings that bother me when they loose tension are the co-polys as they tend to be springy and spray balls all over the place.

Like I said, it's still there, I just said it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be, and the string really isn't playing terribly different after the 10th hour I logged today compared to the first or second hour. It was a little more crisp, but it really isn't noticeable like when co-polys. When co-polys lose tension, they pretty much become useless, but this string hasn't lost any control, and I have no incentive to cut it out. This is one poly that dies about as miniscule a death as one can have.
