no its definitely from a while back. some parts of that clip are always shown at the start or end of commercial breaks during his matches on SF2 and thats been the case for years now

His forehand wasn't different back than, the difference is he is trying to hit against a wall at close range off one bounce, you won't be able to hit the same stroke, you don't have the time to setup correctly.

i agree with this. he straightened out his arm twice in the video but the majority of the time he kept his elbow closed to his sides on the forehand, probably due to the fact he was standing in no-man's hitting against a wall.


great vid nonetheless.

Yeah agree with this, its like hitting agains someone who is at the net, you can not produce a full stroke you do not have time.

Yes. I was here from 2004 to 2008 and left dejected after Rogers loss at Wimby. Asked the mods to delete my account. Came back in 2009 with the same screen name. Sureshs drakulie know me from then. A lot of the posters frrom back then are gone though!

Yeah, it's how I hit my forehand, or how my friends/hitting buddies say I hit my forehand. And it's because there were many a day where I had no one to play with so I had to hit against the wall. I had the same problem where the wall really takes a lot of your time away, so you have set up quicker and your swing is so much more abbreviated.

I really like the song in the video though.

The outfit, not so much. Those pants were beyond ridiculous, even for the maestro himself.
