Money being no object

First, he was 100% joking.

Second, yes, Nadal is playing RPM. Members here who are pro stringers have said many times that he's using RPM, but in a thicker gauge than is offered.

Since this thread is starting to heat up, can you at least tell us what you are testing - even if your results are not ready?

Ok ok stop twisting. Messing around with Lower than normal tensions for gut and low tension poly hybrids. That's all ill say for now

My friend, I couldn't be more right. It's not a matter of black and white, it's a matter of being practical. Asking what string or setup is going to give you better spin than one in the 95th percentile doesn't make much sense. You personally may find more spin with something else, as I said, but as a whole, TB is in the top-tier spin string group. The string you're asking for does not exist, as if it were, everyone would be talking about it. From the lowliest hacker up to the pros, Tour Bite is known to do one thing better than just about anything else: spin. I did not say it is the best spin string for YOU, but I was fully prepared to say that you will spend years trying to find better and you will never be satisfied. Since you realized that your quest would never end, I can't possibly understand how you can say that I'm wrong.

PV PV your missing the point, I am lucky to have the luxury to be able to string for myself and others and the money to experiment with as many strings as I want to. Also to never be satisfied and always think there is something a littlleeee better is a great benefit not only to me but even for you and others whom i can share with. I do it for me and to benefit the other players I string for and by consequence the folks on here. I'm not looking for a magic bullet or to buy a better game but I am looking to enhance my knowledge and again in turn help others and myself making decisions for their equipment.

I don't know why it seems to you this is a wasteful exercise ?

Then truth be told, this thread is absolutely pointless, with all due respect. I promise you that you will not find measureable increases in spin beyond full Tour Bite. Maybe a few RPMs here or there on certain shots depending on tensions chosen, but what you're asking for does not exist. Tour Bite provides a simply preposterously heavy ball. One of my main hitting partners switched to one of his sticks strung with TB without me noticing. I realized after the first ball that the string was not the same. The ball was coming in faster, and kicking off the court which caused me to have to readjust to his shots. Not many strings can have such an effect when compared to the full poly he'd been using before. Now, to be fair, the TB stick was lighter so he was getting greater RHS, but only TB, Tourna BHBR and gut/Co Focus have caused opponents to tell me personally that my ball was hard to handle. Of the three, TB is the heaviest, gut/poly gives you the most overall spin, and BHBR is an in between.

Aren't almost all of the threads in "Strings"? ;-)

LMFAO !!!!!

Sadly though I read a lot if it myself.

But I still say knowledge is power and this is the only true way to acquire it so I still feel that the exercise itself even if does not yield the results one was looking for one will still reap some benefit of knowledge. Some solace after your 3500 posts and reads
