Have any of you leaded this frame over 12 oz? If you have, how did it hit/feel and did you have to adjust anything else?

I tried to lead it at 3 & 9 and the handle (335g max) but finally I prefer it bare !
So, I can swing faster for an amazing spin !

I used leaded and 0,6mm extended BLX Pro Open almost a year.
Total weight 337g with dampener and overgrip.

Lead at 12, 10&2, 9&3. Also little at 7&5 and 6 because it made the frame more "whippier" and better to serve (to me).

Played very good...more plow, stability and depth. Serves were bombs. Only volleys/reaction shots were bit sluggish but not bad.

If it had been more flex (like 62-64 instead of 66-67) I could have used it longer. Pity that new "tweenerish" frames are more and more stiff today...

Sorry, not totally bare !
Protection tape (3g) + dampener (3g) + overgrip (5g) = 326g !

How was depth of shot? Was it easy to control?

Obviously easier depth than stock but controllable imo.

Stock BLX Open had quite low SW to me so I liked those mods. More plow. And more reach. Especially my THBH. Open should be 27,25 stock imo.

Minor trade-off could be short angled shots and reaction volleys due to higher SW. But it really takes few grams great. Try it.

lead tape is cheap, make it happen!

Ha yeah I probably am going to... I played yesterday for the first time in months and my sticks actually felt really light to me. I really had to work to put anything good into my shots and my motion wasn't flowing very well. And for proof that I was using my whole body into my shot, today only my legs, abs, and glutes hurt :) I think more weight is in order! I'm just wondering where to put it...oh and my pro opens are definitely off in spec :/ might have to buy a scale

I weighted my Pro Opens when I first bought them. I switched from the Roddick Pure drives and wanted a little bit smoother transition. I also found that both racquets didn't have the same weights. One was heavier than spec by a few grams with a little bit different balance. I weighted it to bring it back into spec.

I'm selling both now to switch to the new Blade.

Months? I haven't played in 8-9 days & for the first 10min it felt like I forgot how hit, probably because all I've been doing is sleeping the whole time.

PO could definately use at least 4gm at 3&9. After that try increments of 2gm at 3&9 or 1gm at 12. Counter balance at the buttcap if it feels unbalanced, start w/4gm, then 2gm increments.
