I was watching the review on this string from TW. Both Chris and Andy liked it, say its a controlled, firm and comfortable string. Its pretty cheap. Sounds like a good string to try. Anyone checked it out and can talk about this string?

i tried this string. it's a mix between a firm response like cyclone and a soft response like a isospeed baseline string. it's low powered and offers good control. tension stability is great, though it might drop a bit in the first 20min after it came out of the machine. you should try it out. just waiting for them to sell a reel.

Bumping. Any other opinions of this string? I might want to pick it up to try out for my RPM blast customers.

I have some inbound from TW. Want to try it as a cross with VS mains. Looks like it might be perfect in that application. Low CoF and low powered to tame the gut.

^To expound on that a little, it would allow you to generate much more spin. The "snapback" is just one aspect of polys helping in spin production. Another is that if you're a big hitter, a low powered poly allows you to take monster rips on the ball without concern about it flying long.

Why not use the most powerful strings possible?
Your own power + extra power from the strings = maximum power.
Or not?
I thought that was the whole idea in tennis, to hit the ball as hard
as possible and generate as much ball speed and power as possible,
to prevent the opponent from being able to return the ball.

Because a setup like that will rocket off the string bed. Which is ok for somone older or starting out with a slow swing speed. But for someone who wants to hit a heavier spin/penetration ball - they'd actually have trouble keeping it in the court with a bigger swing (they'd everything way long).

In the end, when a player gets more advanced- they have to decide their trade offs. A lot of people go for the lowest tension they can still control.

Because tennis is more fun when I can actually keep the ball in the court.
