I love cats. I dont know why you were emphasizing cat though. I guess as a fellow cat lover i would do that to, to show my love for cats.

LOL,dude.I did not mean CAT as an animal.It stands for Common Admission test.In India we have those an entrance test to get into a good management college.
BTw I am more fond of pups and dogs,I always found weird why people in western countries are so fond of cats?

Highly doubt any channel would be showing it.Its just too puny a tournament to be brOadcasted.You can use stream hunter or other streaming sites.Works fanatstic with decent internet speed..I watched the RG final on that and it worked like a charm.
I am recording it on Tennis Channel. Come over and watch it.

You should always buy Apple products no matter what the cost is. That way you support both the American and Chinese economy. Which is good. Except that then America and China can make more fighter jets and tanks and semi-automatics to sell to Pakistan to use against India, which .... is not so good.
Not this one. It is a low-end place for low-end people. It is very near to where he lives, and he has had 3 surgeries here and the head surgeon knows him personally, so he insisted on going here. Everyone else thinks Apollo would have been a costlier but better choice.
He seems to be on the recovery path after the second surgery. Hope it continues.

Just have faith everything will be fine.i was operated in New Delhi Apollo when i was a kid back in 1997,I was operated for Adnoids(some sort of nose tissue),tonsils(which were cut off) and my ear...lol

I have my CAT exam on 10th of nOv,my preparation is OK.I just need to keep on practicing..CAT is just the beginning.I have scheduled MAT for 1st December,SNAP(Admission to get in to Smbiosis college) on 16th december,TISS(tata insititue of social science) on 22nd dec and XAT on 5th jan,then i will get a month respite.i will give CMAT in feb..I might give one or two tests in between.
Coming back to the internet plan,my dad asked me to contact the reliance and ask them for the connection as their Plans were very lucrative.My dad gave a cheque of Rs 1298 to a sales guy on 28th(cheque was dated for 30th december),he gave me a call a day before yesterday telling me that connection is not feasible in your area and you should get your CHEQUE BOUNCED.I was like,"Are you out of your mind".I asked him to return the cheque but he was adamant..he was like Checque bounce kara do tumhara kon sa fine lagega....I went to the reliance office yesterday and asked them to return my checque and the papers.I finally got the checqe today..phewww ..I won;t every suggest you to go for Reliance,they suck big time..
I have upgraded my AIRTEL connection to 8 MBPS till 15 GB and then 512 Kbps from then,i will also get 1000 local calls free(it will cost Rs 1299).My previous plan was Rs 700 for 10GB,2MBPS speed and 100 calls free,after the FUP speed used to drop to 256 Kbps,which was atrocious.They also gave me Rs 150 discount per month for three months which is known as RETENTION OFFER..Even you can try this trick,call the Airtel customer care and ask them to get your connection dis connected.They will forward you call to their senior executive,just tell them your stupid FUP is very annoying and i have found a better plan from some other company,they will get in a tizzy and will offer you a discount or a better plan at lower rates..lol..You have a better chance to get a better offer as you live in Delhi..

Dad will be released on Monday. Then he is going to stay with a relative for a couple of weeks because our flat is on the 3rd floor without a lift and he is not allowed to walk up right now. Only place he could afford to buy at retirement and I don't know how he is going to continue to live there.

Why don't they all standardize on one exam or accept one of several, like CAT/GMAT/GRE?

I highly doubt they would standardize on one exam.You know how things work in India.CAT is conducted by IIM whereas XAT is conducted by XLRI, and MAT is conducted by another govt body.TISS is a private institute,nature of the tests are different,difficulty level varies from test to test.CMAT is basically for top colleges in Maharashtra and few top colleges in other zones.

They are all equally bad, but i will use your tactic.
I have the 2mbs and they tell me my limit of 10 gb is over within a week whether i use or not. After that it crawls. i have relatives who are sick of mtnl and other alternatives. I suspect once your limit of 15 gb is over it will crawl. After the limit the speed is not assured, it is a max speed, and depends on how much is being shared.

While moving five years back we were particular we would only take a ground floor due to parents age and condition. That limited our options greatly and increased the price but we stuck with a GF.
GF;s really suck in some ways because you can't look out anywhere, and i really yearn for a view. We've always lived in a GF and the backside has windows that just look at the back wall. There's also a problem of getting no sun in winter due to the surrounding buildings. Then there is the sound of the pumps/waters at night to pull water into the tanks....
Yes, it will be a big problem if you are on the 3rd. They will have to move to a GF sooner or later.

I know my net will crawly after the uasage of 15 Gb,but it will work at a 2x speed from the previous plan..And 1000 locals calls is something i could use.
Senti you are just naive.When you reach your 10 Gb quota your speed drops to 256 kbps,i.e 1/8th your original speed..Just to clarify ..2 MBPS =2 MEGA bits per seconds which is equal to 2048 Kbps,now you see 2048/8=256 kbps..
It is a long story. My mother passed away last year. They purchased it around 1988, a few years before my Dad retired. At that time, my Mom wanted a place near her sister, and my Dad was not willing to shell out any black money. All builders wanted 40% in black. Finally one builder took pity and sold the 3rd floor flat all in white. Since then they have had ups and downs but managed. I offered to move them to the ground floor flat which opened up 10 years ago and pay the difference, and also tried again and again ever year, asking brokers and sellers to call them. My mother scuttled every attempt of mine due to some irrational phobias which we know now was indicative of her slow degeneration by Parkinsons. Some of the people abused me for asking them to talk to my parents because they felt they were not serious at all. My Dad wanted to support his wife and together they became more and more rigid to any moving suggestion, even claiming that the 3 stairs walk was recommended by the doctors.
So they never agreed to move. Now flats have become prohibitively expensive and moreover my Dad does not want to leave the immediate surroundings. He also flies into a rage when retirement homes are mentioned. So he is in denial and just thinks he can continue living alone like this on the 3rd floor. When I purchased my condo here, I made sure it is on the lowest level.
All his relatives have given up telling him to move. He is now among the oldest of them so doesn't care what they think. It is now not possible for me to at this stage to invest my money in another place for him and he will not move in any case.

My dear chap, yes I am naive in many ways but I do know how to calculate bits and bytes, and I also know how to observe download speed. I never knew personality affected the ability to divide a number by eight
However, I do feel that airtel does some hanky-panky and quickly reports my bandwidth over since i hardly used any this month. I usually even disable images on my browser.
Maybe its just that web pages have become so heavy that they hog bandwidth even if the actual data you read is minimal.

On one hand life has become hell for simple people here esp. old people. The builder mafia has taken over and are closely connected with police and politicians. Ordinary people like us can do little. I've seen that with all the construction going on around me.
Even i am going through the whole old age issue with my folks. The obstinacy on one hand. My dad has Alzhiemer's but my mother is also going through her own thing which is not acknowledged since she manages to control the house and stuff like that. But i can see how old age is taking it's toll on the mind. All idiosyncrasies and obsessions are exaggerated and get worse with time. It's impossible to help. I have long back stopped trying to give a suggestion even if asked, or trying to initiate change or improvement.
We can't even keep any proper help due to their condition which makes it even more difficult. its like a vicious circle. Maybe it's just as well that you've got your own life in the US, since these conditions can really bring you down. The kind of staff that come here to help are totally untrained and they take offense to my father's talk and leave in a few days.
I notice you saying that your father feels he can stay alone. There are many emergency situations where old people frequently slip and fall in bathrooms and are unable to get help (fractures). It's even worse if your help lives separately, since they are unable to open the door. The servants themselves are nowadays known to steal all the money the old person has, or overdose the patient so he is asleep all day.
