Wilson Tennis Bags Are Crap!!

New Wilson Tour bags

Love the simplicity/minimalist design. Love the hard shell. Love the thermo and moisture guard stuff.

But why are the smaller accessory pockets INSIDE the bag?! It's almost as if they went out of the way to ruin an otherwise awesome bag.

To me, accessory pockets are meant for quick grab items such as cell phones, keys, wallet, and etc. It's not a "quick grab" if you've got to open up the main compartment, move your crap out of the way to access the smaller accessory pockets.

v-verb, any chance of pics inside the bag?
Are the interior linings nylon like most every other bag?
Do the internals on this leather one differ from the regular bags or it mirrors every other Wilson 6-pk?
Do you think it is the kind of leather that will get better with age and exposure?
Thanks

P.S: looks like Wilson outsourced it to these guys:

I lust for that bag -every- time I see it.

If the $ tag was 1/2, I'd own it in a second.
Heck...if it was $400, I think I'd rationalize it.

I think the new Wilson bags (same styling as the Federer limited's this summer) are better than the recent ones. My BLX blade supersix (black and gold) was floppy and always had the gold peeling off. This shell-style Federer one is very nice and as a bonus has both sides with thermoguard (I live in some rather crazy climates between school and being at home, so I appreciate this.)

It's a nice bag, pretty tough but no thermoguard sections etc. It's basically a nice leather bag - A poseur bag if you will;<)

If I was playing tournaments etc this would not be my first choice. I would get one of those new red Wilson bags with thermoguard, moistureguard and hard outer shell

^^Thanks for the pics. As others have said, if the price tag was south of half the price I'm sure I'd find a way to rationalise my purchasing one. Specifically, as a tennis buff comfortable in adverting that fact to others, I would continue to use it as a general purpose travel bag too. i.e, a leather travel bag with tennis motif/functionality.

Backpack straps are overrated. I just hope the carry handles hang long enough and are durable enough to comfortably lug the bag over your shoulder.

Goodness, do you proofread your material? No need to quote me because we both know the answer- no.

Well, I think you meant to say "we both know the answer"?

Anyhow, they're just bags - no need to get intense about it:)

Oooh, I contradicted myself didn't I?

Fixed it for you!

Anyways, Max finds pleasure in trolling. But, whatever.
