I prefer my pedicab driver like this:

All style, no substance. Would you really trust your personal safety with someone idiotic enough to wear those shoes? If she can't make proper decisions when doing something simple like getting dressed properly for work, I'm betting on a "fail" when she's moving in traffic.

I think you want a different type of ride. Go for it!

I would prefer her any day over a 58 year old hunk showing part of his butt to me as he pedals along

Nothing against her looks, but the only adjoining beds you'll occupy are in the ER after she crashes on your "ride".

And, as I told you, my valuable assets are protectively layered...no buttcrack ever visible. And it's 61-years-old now, if you haven't figured it out yet.

But you did get the "hunk" part right...ladies like the old guy!

Tom, are the Brits always "sloshed" ? :D No offense to Batz and his brethren but i keep reading of drunken football fans, and hooligan smashing shops, etc.

Let's see...youth, vacation, warm temperatures, nightclubs; makes a nice cocktail for letting it all go! My crowd here aren't hooligans but I get to know the ones that appreciate a change of pace. They can always walk or take the buses but it's nice when they want to ride and chat (or non-chat...thanks buddy for never inviting me to CC's place BTW).

VCore is British...shouldn't it be VCore and his brethren if it's O&E?

I used to live in Orlando. Is the International Zone near the amusement parks off I4? Does your rickshaw err human-powered pedi bike taxicab have a cover in case of rain, which must be quite frequent?

How do the passengers know how much to tip? Are there any posted guidelines?

I-4 exit Sand Lake Rd. and you're there. Anything between Universal and Sea World is my turf, particularly the massive Orange County Convention Center.

Rain is the enemy...even with a canopy, passengers get soaked so a good golf umbrella works more efficiently. I choose never to ride in the hard or steady rain...the amenity you are offering is taken away.

Some sharks out here charge a "rate"...my passengers pay me what they're comfortable with so everyone is happy at the end! Monday, I picked up a young Brit dad and his 6-or-so-year-old daughter for a shortish ride and got $20 when I could have been happy with $5. When I asked him if he needed change for the $20 bill, he declined and said, "No, I rather enjoyed that! Keep it!" That was a pleasant moment! I told the daughter she was lucky to have such a nice Dad! She smiled and said, "I know!" That was even more pleasant!

Suresh would have to pay double plus medical bills of driver.

You? Tip?:)

In reference to Sirs Tom and Sentinel, as a kid in Flushing (moved around a lot), coach always told be to drink fluids even if I am not thirsty (and I always remembered that) because the moment you feel thirsty it might be too late. So I sloshed around running for 20 forehand and 20 backhands at a time (no two-handers allowed).

We'll change your name to USOCore, only fitting as you sometimes prefer that combo of Wilson's and shbh's that have combined for 40% of the men's singles titles there in 25 years.

I know. I can't believe The Hard Rock has that much meeting space. 40,000sq/ft is a BIG room.

sureshsian space...he'll be booking his "forehand of evil" pyramid marketing scheme with cohort LeeD taking the smaller room to accommodate lefty kick serve technique.

Just curious, are you are Ralph or Rodge (1h or 2h), not that it matters; you string with both hands naturally?:)

I am Mats...the 2-hander who added a nice 1-handed slice to win 3 slams one year.

I am the anti-Nads...a natural lefty who learned all sports righty. I curse the day I put my big bro's baseball mitt on my left hand and started that unnatural spiral away from my leftyness. It's hurt me in other sports too (baseball, bowling).

Give me time and money and I would go back to square one and become a shbh lefty. Years ago, I did photography for the New York Apples WTT franchise and I have images indelibly engraved in my mind's eye of Apples' Ray Ruffels, a poor man's Rod Laver. Aussie, lefty, S&V shbh. Visualization is key when learning and what I saw over and again won't fade from the brain like images on photo paper.

Thanks sir, I can relate to visualization, learned a lot from relatives in the medical profession and also from my own research and scouring of old back issues of related magazines that I won't elaborate.

A natural lefty who inevitably learns to do it right with his right are natural born geniuses as my uncles in the medical profession would always say to me.

How did you end up in Oralndo?
Four very sloshed Brits hopped on my cart tonight and directed me to pass their walking girlfriends further up the block. One gave me a nice tip before we even started so I hustled by all the girls while the guys were singing my praises ("Tom is our man...he's the best, etc."). When we passed them and came up to a traffic light, one of the guys fell out onto the sidewalk (bruised his cheek and his ego a bit!) but the injured bloke insisted on tipping me even more when the ride ended!

Turns out one of the ladies lives in my old stomping grounds in London (Earl's Court). We went on in conversation for 10 minutes about the neighborhood and how it's changed in the 40+ years since I lived there.

Nice end to my night!

HS & college in Tallahassee, worked in NY for a dozen years but came back to FL for what I thought was a couple of weeks when my father fell ill and now I'm here 29 years, the last few without either parent. I hadn't explored the tourist side of Orlando until 3 years ago and I love it for the cosmopolitan atmosphere exuded by visitors from all over the globe.

Just gave a ride to a couple from Bristol in the UK. Gr8 chat while I got them over to Wal-Mart for provisions for the room. They will be here 3 weeks and have my e-mail to meet again. They were the very first people I saw on the sidewalk...that happens once a year!

Finally, my lady boss summoned me to her office this morning. She was the one who left the form guide (earlier in the week) for The Epsom Derby this Saturday and ask me if I can help pick some random thoroughbreds. Hmm, I said, it's easy to pick but winners! She insisted anyway. I noticed many of the thoroughbreds are sired by ''Galileo'' so I pick an (unbacked--pays big if;)...) offspring of ''Galileo''. Now, I'm thinking whether to ask my girlfriend to come with me and my boss!

I was about to call it a night late yesterday but right before making the turn towards the storage lot I asked a couple if they would like a ride. They were staying right across the street but got on and the gentleman said, "Take us on a tour before heading to the hotel". I asked him how long he had in mind. "Oh, how about half-an-hour?"

In 30 minutes you can see my whole area and round-trip to their hotel so I did just that. What a nice time we had and they learned a lot! At the end, he asked how much he owed and I said, "Sir, I'll let you decide what that was worth and I'll trust your judgement". That was my fourth $100+ ride in my career!:)

Today went out for a run, 47C was the max and it was showing 43 at that time ! I had to go early-ish so as not to miss the W final. It's 46-47C this entire week so no respite.

47 is around 116F if you do Fahrenheit.

I am having pleasant moments just looking at the thread titles, and this is before the M final (M=men's for suresh's benefit). Just imagine how hilarious this place will be after the match!

And I just had some fantastic home-made Idlis and coconut chutney (with extra green and red chillis, i can feel the burn in the tummy!) and sambar :)

Now for a pleasant nap before the men's final.

Did Rafa win the Wimbledon final?
Mira beat Simmi/Seema in 3 sets, haha.

I'm about to share some unpleasant moments... I'm buying a saxophone mouthpiece and will try to learn my embouchures this summer during my idle moments (and there will be many!) at work. Once the mouthpiece is mastered, I'll really screech by adding the horn and learning the fingering and some "melodies".

Wish those surrounding me luck!

Good luck my friend and should I be seeing you then by 2015 at the horn section of Stephen Colbert's show?

Only if it's a monsoon of a summer! It's starting that way...ready to roll at 3pm when the skies just opened up with God's version of "Hi there!" crackling every few minutes. It's 4+ hours later now...no work and all play makes Tommy Boy a little antsy!

A morning at the cafe overlooking "quiet ocean, bracketed by green mountains" and shapely legs of the HK summer inspired this:

Lips red and full as cherry
Love can’t wait hurry
Legs carved from gold
Never get you old
Sad will be garden of weeds
Plant some eager seeds
Care not young or old
Just be bold

I hope you enjoy it!

A moment to belatedly mourn the loss of an actress I shared moments of pleasure watching...Ann B. Nelson (Alice the maid on "The Brady Bunch") passed away at 86 on June 1. She fell in her bathtub and succumbed to a subdural hematoma.

No more mysterious form guide this time, lady boss just handed me the King's Stand Stakes race card for Tuesday, directly. I guess I have to study it over the weekend (or later in the night while under the influence).:-|

A while late I said: ''Due Diligence'' for King's Stand Stakes! She took a long draw, exhaled and smiled, then wished me a great weekend!

played a league match today against a very good player. i could not get a look on his serve for first 30 min. down 0-4 in a jiffy, i was fighting to avoid a bagel. finished the first pro set at 3-8.
went down 1-3 in no time.
then something happened. tennis gods smiled. i clawed back into the match and won the second set 8-5.

i am still grinning.

Strangely your second pic is showing upside down. And your pics posted the other day were also rotated. But when i save the pic and see it on my laptop, it shows fine.

Nice place, and lovely morning.

Due to yesterday's rain, there were cool breezes in the evening today, had a nice run today, legs felt nice.

Just finished watching Berdy vs Lopez, now its Stan coming up.
