new prestige release?

They're not messing with the racquet specs, which is a good thing. Only mystery is the feel, and if it has too much power (for a Prestige MP).

Yeah I know it's unstrung spec. That means when it's strung, it's going to be head heavy. When was the last time a Prestige is head heavy?

No way. Putting strings will make it, at worst, 32.5 cm balance, which is very close to my Youteks.

I think you get confused by the ''1.3'' -- it's inches, not headlight points.

Also, there is a guy who said he tried the MP and Pro versions and this is what he said:

"I have tried both MP and pro. Really like the pro. Very solid and also good ball bite. Not so much the MP, but it felt like it was strung in 80 pounds'

Found this on a sneaky pic on Instagram.

:( Maybe Head is picking up where Graphene Prestige MP left off, that racquet was uncharacteristically stiff for a Prestige.

Head is making the prestige frame width wider it seems. I'm used to the PC600 beam width and anything over 20mm seems a bit distracting to me.

Hmmm nice paint job... but looks like head really messed up the lines, very little distinction between them. Bolobot on the other hand is doing an excellent job making a clear distinction between their different racket lines. When I hypothetically run out of my army of head (IG mind you) rackets lol, I'd rather purchase a bobolot.

It can look as good as it wants, with its "modern specs" I don't want it near me.

I find it laughable that Head calls this frame the perfect fit for rebellious young guys (or something along those lines) in their product line description. I mean really?! A mid frame for youngsters NOW?! Somebody in marketing should lose their job, cause he saw a potential market where there literally is none at all.

That, and releasing a 10oz mid makes no sense tennis wise.

vsbabolat, any chance you can get your hand on a MP demo now and tell us if it's even worth waiting? I would love to buy some IG MPs but the low swingweight is holding me back since I don't wanna get into customizations etc.

When I do get to hit with it I'll give a review. I don't know when that will be.

I don't know if it's just me, but Prestige MP (PT630) design, in its various iterations, feels like it's a bit launchy, especially in the lower part of the stringbed. I'm coming from Pure Storm/Control which has a deader upper part but very comfortable and controllable lower part of the stringbed.

Trying to gather the few feedbacks I have had so far of the new XT prestiges. I asked one person who tried it a couple of days ago (person I don't know btw) about what he thought about it. This was his reply:

"In my opinion prestige was always a stiffer racquet and mp especially since it's 18x20 opposed to 16x19 on a pro! I'm currently using graphene prestige mp, not the pro! I used to play with radicals, but Head never came out with 18x20 version, so I switched to prestige mp just because I was breaking way too much string, I'm glad I did, I can appreciate the weight and and better materials! comparing graphene and graphenxt I'd say that the graphenext feels a little softer in the arm, but just as solid as previous generation on the ball! if you want to feel the racquet and what it does you should string the lowest recommended number or around it"

Yeah I get that, but that Prestige Rev Pro is not exactly flying off the shelves.
I actually like the idea of the Prestige Rev Pro, and the XT Speed Rev Pro. If these had a regular racquet feel and not the Graphene process, they would be fully customizable, but the G Process has made these very difficult to modify and get a good feel. If these were IG models, they would be pro stocks that were ready for mods. Now they are just weird frankenracquets which only become worse with weight added. What a letdown.

Could be worse!

As in it could look like the other head rackets hahaha (the radical looks horrible)

Graphics age, good colors and designs are timeless (old prostaffs, ncodes, any matte blacked out racket, the YT Prestiges)

I had an opportunity to demo the new Prestige S tonight. Played 3 sets of dubs with it. I have a couple years' experience with the IG and Graphene Prestige S. I'm 48 y/o, 5'9"/170lbs, low-ish 4.0. I play 4 or 5 times a week (singles and doubles).

The demo stick I played was newly strung with a full bed of Head Velocity MLT 16g at 53lbs. My reference point is that I've been playing with the IG Prestige S with a full bed of RPM Blast at 43-48lbs (shoulder issues) for the past couple of months.

I love the feel of the new Prestige S. It felt flexier and WAY LESS hollow than the Graphene for sure. The feel of ball-striking was more buttery compared to both the IG and Graphene. I don't have any experience with the older Prestige models.

I was a little disappointed that I was spraying the ball a bit tonight. Maybe I just didn't adjust to the multi string job, or made a lot of sloppy strokes (probably). I haven't hit with multi in about a year.

I'm not in the market for new sticks but I'm very interested to buy a couple of these and play some singles with my regular string setup.

Plus, the new paint job is nice. The matte finish is very similar to the Radical Ltd. Ed. It's definitely not flashy - very subtle as compared to the IG and Graphene.

Does anyone know if there will be a new prestige released soon and if so when? I was so disappointed by graphene I'm looking forward to something new.

Thanks in advance
I am holding it in my hand as i type! I have not strung it up but i was granted the opportunity to get one from a friend at Head. It appears to be very similar to the previous version. Weird Font though.

Will you have the opportunity to try the MP? If so, please give us your review on how it plays compared with the current Graphene and feel of previous iterations.

The Velocity might have had a bit to do with the buttery feel as well. NOT to say that it wasnt also the racket thats two things contributing to a smoother hit

I am sure retail version will be matte finish. IMO, these Haas sticks are only PJ of new XT Prestiges and must be glossy finish because of TV ...

You will see that most all the players will be matte. Murray's racquets are matte.........
