Yeah you should definitely go for it. I bought one for around that price and so glad I did. The warranty is transferable, and although mine had around a year left, I knew how good SW customer service is, as I had emailed them lots when I was researching the MS200. Even though my warranty is up...
I would second Stringway, I have their MS200 with Single Action clamps and its amazing. The customer service is great too and with a 10 year warranty nothing can go wrong. I doubt you will even need to use the warranty, its solid
Technatic, you appear to know alot about the tool, but I guess it is because you have been using these kind of tools since 85.
I bought one of the tools, and it took me I would say 5 rackets before I got 100% used to it. Now i use it as long as the type of racket allows me, as it is so much...
May I ask, why did you buy 2 and then decide not to use them. Surely after the first one you could of made a judgment.
How come you dont like the tools?
I saw that SW added an extra comb for their High Density cross stringer so that the HD version can be used for very high density string patterns. Did anybody use the HD tool on HD patterns for Wilson and Head rackets?
They offer the set, the comb and the second cross stringer for a special...
I bought a used Stringway, around a year ago and it really is a great machine. The warranty is transferable from seller to buyer, and even if you dont have a receipt, I believe they can tell by the serial number how old your machine is. The customer service at Stringway/Alpha is great, if you...

Has anyone had any problems on any rackets at all?
No i dont know the engineer personally. I just got in contact with Fred. He knows alot and he didnt even need to ask the engineer I dont think about the questions I asked him. He seems to know everything about his machines, not many people do. Did Fred contact you or the engineer?
No problem at all:) Glad they have contacted you because I wouldnt be able to give you too much more info than what I have provided. I have reached my limit on this topic:)
Diredesire I have talked about this in detail with SW and here is some more information:
The force transducer that is used is a Mecmesin force gauge that can be used with its internal load cel or with an external load cel which is using the electronics of the unit. The measuring system is a...
I asked SW about their set up, the test set up doesnt seem to be very complicated:
SW has a test set up with a digital force transducer to calibrate their elect ron ic units. So on one side it has the tension unit and on the other side the force transducer. The force transducer is...
Sorry for the late reply, just got back from Holiday. I received the document from Stringway, so I assume it is them who has done the testing, although I am not 100% sure.
