How certain are you, you have the right grip size?

How certain are you, you have the right grip size? I have racquets at 3/8 and two at 1/2, I find the 1/2 size more playable, but 3/8 is my correct size. How about you guys, you set on your grip size?

Why doesn't Prince sell racquets through local tennis shops?

Just wondering why Prince isn't selling through local tennis shops. Seems like an opportunity to get more people to demo their racquets and ultimately increase sales.

Why is the flex for Pure Aero different between the manufacturer and online stores?

Ok, didn't know strings can lower racquet flex. Is there some inverse relation between racquet flex and string tension?

Why is the flex for Pure Aero different between the manufacturer and online stores?

Why is the flex for Babolat Pure Aero different between the manufacturer between online stores? TW has the flex listed at 67, TE has a flex at 65, Babolat has flex at 71. I could understand if it was 1 or 2 points off, you can probably explain that away with measuring device and racquet...

Will midsize racquet make you play better?

Low powered control racquets which require more energy to use can tire out casual players. Especially under hot weather. If you are a weaker player, do as the WTA players do. Use the larger head size. Extra power never hurts. Serena uses 104 sq inches, extended length. She is doing very well.

Is it stiff racquets or weak muscles causing shoulder and elbow issues?

It is possible the elbow and shoulder issues are accumulated injuries over many years of playing, not so much age. Anyway, found this video for shoulder strengthening.

Is it stiff racquets or weak muscles causing shoulder and elbow issues?

I was talking to one of the rehab guys at our gym. He says, players who strengthen their shoulders and arms will have minimal issues with stiff racquets. Something as simple as resistance bands, 2x a week, will do the trick. You can use stiff racquets if u regularly strengthen your shoulders...

Does grip size affect racquet performance?

Here are the grip sizes of some of the players from Sampras time. Googled grip size, not sure how accurate, but assuming it's accurate. past players used larger grips and wrapped with OG. Sampras 4 7/8 later switched to 4 9/16 + OG Becker 4 5/8 (from photos looks like he use OG as well)...

Does grip size affect racquet performance?

Nadal uses 4 1/4, Fed and Djokovic uses 3 3/8. Read that players tend to use smaller grip sizes now than they did 15 years ago. Why?

Does grip size affect racquet performance?

Some pros like Nadal like small grips. I think now, there is a trend towards smaller grip? So how does grip affect racquet feel/performance?

Why use a control racquet if you are a baseline player?

I think with the game becoming more a baseline game pros are looking for more power. Federer switched to a larger head size for power. Nadal if I remember correctly added some weight for more power as well. Serena Williams uses an extended, head heavy, and oversized head racquet. I’m pretty...

Why use a control racquet if you are a baseline player?

I think they use the old models painted to look like the new ones. I know Nadal and Tsonga uses the old Pure Aero painted to look like the current models, it's weighted up but probably still a power racquet. I think the Williams sisters also use a power racquet, with an oversize 100+ head size.

Why use a control racquet if you are a baseline player?

Players who play mostly from the baseline play well using power racquets, a lot of Pure Drives/Aero are used by pros. Nadal, Tsonga, Benoit Paire, Jack Sock, Sofia Kenin, and other pros seems to prefer power racquets over more control oriented racquets. If you are a baseline player, don’t you...

Why doesn’t Babolat make lower flex racquets ?

Why are stiff frames cheaper to manufacture? There are a lot of stiff frames which are reasonably priced and some newer softer frames(Wilson Clash) that are more pricy that normal.

Why doesn’t Babolat make lower flex racquets ?

Babolat should consider making a softer version of their racquets. For those who want to protect their elbows and wrist.
