    Hybrid with 17g RIP Control

i have used Tourna Big Hitter Silver as a smooth poly in the crosses to allow my shaped mains to snap back. Since you want to use RIP in the crosses maybe you could use the Big Hitter Silver in the mains to serve your purpose. Still think you will notch your RIP pretty quick. RIP control is...

    Full Bed TBS

Thanks. I guess I will be sticking with the TBS17/BHS17 combination as it has kept my TE away. Just was wondering if I was missing anything with not using the TBS17 in the crosses. The Big Hitter Silver is so smooth for snapback and it is a dream to string the crosses with. I recommend this...

    Full Bed TBS

Since a bout with TE, I have been using Solinco TBS17 for mains with BHS17 for crosses. At first I went with Babolat N.vy in the crosses for a soft bed and with use of a Flexbar my TE improved. So I continue to use the TBS17 mains and BHS17 crosses (the latter provides a very smooth cross for...

Tourna 300 CS crank stringing machine

How do you like those 'V' clamps at the shoulders? I am trying to get some of those to upgrade my machine.

    Solinco Tour Bite Soft

Consider trying something really smooth for the crosses, such as Tourna Big Hitter Silver in a 17g. I think you'll like the TBS even more at 54#.

    Source for V Mounts

Further notice that Tourna is using the same shoulder mounts and even some Eagnas models. Anyone seen these available in the US?

    Source for V Mounts

Anyone know a US source for Tyger "V" Mounts? These would fit perfectly on my Czech machine and would be a significant upgrade. I believe there to be a UK source, but don't see any accommodations for a US purchase.

Why doesn't anybody ever string multiple polys together to make a double poly hybrid?

Go to setup for several years now has been 17g Tourbite Soft mains with 17g Big Hitter Silver smooth crosses. Great snapback, economical and good playability and longevity. Silver mains and crosses look good too.

    Microgel Radical MP string recommendation

+1 for the RIP Control in that frame. Try the 17g at 54lbs and you and your TE will be happy.

'Keeping the head shape correct' during stringing

My lockout machine has 6pt mounting and after snugging the 12 and 6 o'clock supports, I turn the throat support another half turn and make sure the 4 shoulder supports are snug. Still when I string any Head Radical or Head Speed, I always string the crosses slightly tighter and often check the...

    N.Vy black 17

Actually, I think it is a translucent white with a blue spiral but it does blend in as a cross for silver poly mains. However, I am no longer seeing any N.Vy listed on Babs website.

    N.Vy black 17

Do you really think the black is different from the other colors? I think the one I used was sort of silver.

    Solinco Tour Bite Soft

I use TBS 17 for mains and BHS 17 for crosses in my 16x19 Speed at 54lbs. The BHS crosses are very smooth and allow for great snap back.

    First time stringing a woodie

"back in the day" that was called trebling. It was a cosmetic only thing and we used it to spin the racquet to determine "rough or smooth". You'll note that the way it is woven below the bottow cross that if you run your finger over it there is a rough and smooth side. Also, sometimes saw this...
