Appreciate the input! I haven't tried all that many racquets, and my club's pro shop has gone downhill in recent years, almost only stocking light and ultra-light versions of Wilson's. I may be able to demo a ps97 v14 from another shop. I'm a little tempted to pounce on a used 6.1 95 online...

Do the 6.1 racquets generally swing and feel very different than the pro staff 97's for example. I've only tried the ps97 v13, and although it was a few years later, I didn't get the same solid, powerful and pleasant feeling I remembered from that one at least.

Yesterday was the first time I saw an entire match with him. Gotta' say, I'm really impressed with pretty much all aspects of his game. Taking the step from a very promising teenager to a top ten regular... remains to be seen, but I'm optimistic. It always makes me a little hesitant, however...

I don't know if I've ever seen a first serve percentage like Monteiro's today. Pretty ridiculous numbers. He's backing it up with some stellar play!

He's raised his game so much this year and increased his repertoire considerably. Fantastic tennis today for large parts of the match.
