    2019 Wilson Blade

Strung similar with gut/poly hybrid but at 52/48, even qith this plenty of power and feel.. but I think higher tension with gut would have been better for me, will try poly on the mains next for a more crisper feel

Yonex VCore Pro 97 HD review...

After restringing, gut/poly at 52/48lbs, have been playing a couple of weeks now. Thin gauge string really helped with the launch angle. I also play with Blade v7, and similar setup felt mushy while on this it gave a nice comfortable feeling, not boardy at all, also aids in power. Also added a...

    The Official Angell Users Club

Try Vcore 95 if you like K7 feel, only bit less control (95inch but 16x20) and sweetspot but slight more power and spin.. I play with both and depending on how I feel.. love the feel of K7 Lime and Vcore95 also has a great feel, both 61-62RA strung... very different than Vcore98

Opinions on Yonex Vcore 95 red?

Frankly having tried so many racquets in past 18 months, the only brand that I found comfortable and powerful are Angells but you cant demo these.. Nothing beats the comfort, feel and playability of Vc95 for me so far, and power and stability is something that can be achived by strings and...

Opinions on Yonex Vcore 95 red?

Based on my experience, I would say the 16x19 has slightly more power to VC95 in stock form and bigger sweatspot, due to slightly bigger head size and slightly higher SW, but not much and nothing that cannot be managed by the string tension. In stock form, VC95 easier to swing, but 16x19 is not...

Opinions on Yonex Vcore 95 red?

Interestingly I have a very similar setup with lead 6g at 2-3/9-10 and a few grams at bottom of the hoop, so estimate SW to be around 338 - the pendulum method is very sensitive to the miliseconds on the stopwatch unfortunately. Even with this setup, I also felt it more maneuverable than the...

Opinions on Yonex Vcore 95 red?

Yes I felt the same.with 16x19 and adding weight reduces launch angle, another option seems to be to string crosses higher than mains, and use thicker gauge strings.. How have you customized your VC95 by the way?

Opinions on Yonex Vcore 95 red?

Some find 16x19 of Blade closed, I found it open but it may work for you. You certainly get more stability with Blade 16x19 than VC95, even more with a few grams of lead, and bigger sweetspot and easier to play. The 18x20 is also high swingweight but I am Ok with this and like it actually, and...

Opinions on Yonex Vcore 95 red?

I have leaded up my Vcore95 with 6gr (2&10, 3&9), and its quite stable also for hard hitters, although not the most stable for its weight. I have tried Blade 98 16x19, it was comfortable but with less feel of ball than the Vcore, they are both 21mm but Vcore also comes across the air smoother...

Wilson Blade v7 16/19 vs 18/20, what are the differences in feel and control?

Played with 18x20 several times now, weighted up in the handle to bring it 7-8pts headlight, comes to around 12.3oz (350gr), but it is quite nice to play compared to 16x19, more consistent and ample power too, probably even too much with current strings. Even the serves were powerful, so will...

Wilson Blade v7 16/19 vs 18/20, what are the differences in feel and control?

Tired the 16x19 v7 today, weighted up and leaded a little, didn't find anything special other than the comfort, also nice slicing, but a bit of a high launch angle and less control as well for a flat player like me... I checked the string spacing again, and even with 16/16L strings its quite...

    2019 Wilson Blade

For better slice on more open patterns (16x19 or 16x20), the hoop needs to have some mass, and a bit of lead at 6 maybe useful, without increasing SW much.. this has worked for me.

    2019 Yonex Regna (Japanese exclusive)

Regna specs looks like a more stable and bigger sweetspot of Vcore 95, which I love playing with, but modified quite a bit. I love the feel of Vcore 95, so how does Regna 98 compare to interms of comfort and feel to Vcore 95, probably not as plush with RA of 64-65 but a little more crisper? I...

Wilson Blade v7 16/19 vs 18/20, what are the differences in feel and control?

For me 3-4pts hesdlight balance is a bit low, prefer 7-8pts which means adding additional at least 15-20grams to the handle, depending on how the balance was originally.. anyways, will be trying both 18x20 and customized 16x19 this weekend, and I am very curious about the feel and excited to try...
