New Donnay X-Series - My Thoughts

I was eying the x-series platinum as well but I'm still having a hard time believing the strung swing-weight is 295 on a ~350g strung racquet even if it is 12pts head light.

    mamba tennis premium natural gut

I ordered 2 sets of gut from Mamba. The customer service was great, came with a handwritten note, they followed up with an email asking my opinion, I wouldn't doubt their guarantee. Aside from the customer service, personally, I wasn't as impressed with the gut itself. Bottom line, I'd...

    No love for Donnay Rackets

Count me as another fan of the Donnay Racquets. I like thin beam headlight players racquets. I spent a lot of time looking for a replacement for my Head Prestige Tours and demo'd the current head prestige line, volkl PB10 and C10, PK Redondo, BB Delta Core London and some Yonnex models. I...

Racquet for 14 year old Daughter - Weight?

The Donnay X-White is very stable for it's weight of 10.7oz, has ample power and although it is a little gimmicky you can play around with the weight with Donnay's customization kit.

You might read the J011yroger Guide to how many racquets you need.

    Head Prestige Tour Grommets

The same thing happened to me, except that I am the one guilty of shredding the headguard. I finally ended up taking some scissors to a new set of MG CAPs, might not be pretty but we'll see how it plays tomorrow...

    Head Prestige Tour Grommets

Thanks for all the input everyone. Maybe I'll give the i.Prestige ones a try and monkey with them if they are still to heavy.

    Head Prestige Tour Grommets

Hmm, didn't realize how rare these were. My stringer must have just replaced them when they were still available from Head years ago. Looks like I might have to go the route of cutting up some MG Prestige CAPs to the point where they are like a bumper guard, some people seem to have done that...

    Head Prestige Tour Grommets

I have one prestige tour now with non-cap grommets but they are so worn out I can't see any model number or anything on them, haven't replaced them for 12 years or so... The non-cap grommets reduce the swing weight to around 297 while still keeping the racquet around 340g with a little lead in...

    Head Prestige Tour Grommets

Hey, would anyone be able to help me out and suggest what replacement grommets I might order for a Head Prestige Tour Mid, the one with the suspension grip. I want Non-CAP grommets.

I probably should have looked to see that it was you who posted that email in the other thread ;)

    mamba tennis premium natural gut

The performaxx theory has unfortunately been dis-proven. http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?p=5968668#post5968668 I'm not a natural gut expert but I ordered a few sets of mamba anyways and plan to string them up for this weekend.

Headsize of PK Black Ace 93 vs Head Prestige Mid

I've been trying to find a replacement for my aging PT600's for the better part of 6 months. After demoing a ton of racquets, I found the Redondo 93 to be a little more forgiving while being the only racquet i've tried so far able to match the precision of my prestige's. It doesn't feel...

New Donnay X-Series - My Thoughts

Just in-case it helps anyone, I've seen conflicting reports on whether the published weights & swingweights include the slide weights or not. I've received official confirmation from Donnay that the specs published on their website for the x-series are for the raw racquet and do not include any...

New Donnay X-Series - My Thoughts

Does anyone know if the published specs for all the x-series racquets on TW or the Donnay website includes the removable "slide" weights or not?
