It is just SO difficult to predict that kind of stuff. Major factors that get in the way:
-injuries
-newcomers on the horizon
-blossoming of other players
It's possible he'll have the better career but at this point, who knows?

Pete's a father of two now so that usually makes guys a bit more sensitive. In addition, his parents were in attendance at his induction and it seems like they rarely made it out to his tournaments when he was playing competitively so that may have added to the emotion as well.
