Don't waste your breath on him he's a waste of space and a troll
Got my device today. Tested it inside the "bubble tent" with overhead artificial lights and clay courts. Brushed the lines really carefully and used a tripod instead of the included mount. It found the court and called shots but I felt it was way to random. It would call shots closest to the camera but on the other side (far away from the cameras) it didn't make calls. I also noticed it stopped calling after a while and I had to go look on the screen. Either it asked if I wanted to shut down the device or it was asking me to review a call. I would like to be able to have a setting to ignore reviewing calls for practice mode and just have it run continuously without any stopping.
Fun toy, I'm looking forward to every software update and when i can order a 2nd device to pair up with.
I'll video some hitting sessions tomorrow and upload here.
What is your evidence that this is the consensus? I would call the consensus of those actually using the device better than that. Add in the ones who have never even seen one in person, and I would agree.Enjoy your paranoid cult of personality.
That seems to be the consensus so far.

There isnt. Best way for you to evaluate is get one and try it out.Where is the evidence that it works?
LOL "cult of personality" projecting much newpball or racketqueen or whichever of the two you are?Enjoy your paranoid cult of personality.
and now your opinion is consensus huh just LOLThat seems to be the consensus so far.
Yup, life is too short to waste money on a product that doesn't work. Or your time trying to debug a worthless product. As it stands you are doing both. Guess you won't get this memo.
Your money is better spent on rhinoplasty and skin conditioner based on your avatar pic.
Humour me for a bit and advice the next steps for buyers like me in your opinion.
I tried a few tennis gadgets over the years. It's a hobby and passion. Some of the devices are collecting dust in cupboard and I'm ok with it.
Ignored. Probably the only person on any forum. I am overwhelmed by your superiority. You're missing the point completely. The product isn't overpriced at all. It is under-priced, by a factor of at least 2X.
You are paying very little upfront but are instead making many hours of incremental payments serving as unpaid interns and staff working out it's bugs for the owner of the company who will ultimately profit from your labor. Beta testing isn't a bad thing at all, it's just that you're usually not expected to PAY to be a beta tester. If you really wanted a product that works, just return it for a refund. The mass refunds will force the company owner to get it right. Or else.
I'll buy it if it ever pans out. It's not worth the frustration of setting up a product that doesn't work. But for those of you who were forced into this position, unwittingly buying a junk product, good luck.
I was set to buy initially but the product sold out quickly and you can't even buy it now even if you wanted to.
The great thing about this thread however, is it's entertainment value. There are a couple of paranoid posters who think any question about the product's effectiveness means there's some vast evil conspiracy of sleeper cells scheming to bring this product down.
What led to this paranoid fetishism I have no idea. It's a plastic box. That's it. Hopefully it will work some day. Carry on.
No, he is just casting stones because some people spend their whole life huddled behind a keyboard while hoarding their money. Unfortunately, they one day find themselves at the end of their life with too much unspent money and almost no real experiences.
One person's waste is another's hobby. To place ones own values on the discretionary spending of other people is presumptuous and demonstrates lack of imagination and lack of tolerance.

I am having a hard time calibrating the court since the last update. Has anyone else seen this?
When you unlock the second hidden screen, all modes are unlocked.Quite impressive. Did you hack the device somehow? Gregoire is probably testing his code by going into a test mode that you happen to see. He must be ahead of or inline with his roadmap at least.
I wonder if it is the tripod. I have also found that you need to check the calibration because sometimes it is wrong. I got it to calibrate Sunday after about 20 tries. Not at all today.
Interesting to also note that sone people have some hesitations about it taking video and/or audio.
When you unlock the second hidden screen, all modes are unlocked.
- First hack screen : Go to "Settings", then "Advanced Settings" and press 7 times on the Wi-Fi information.
- In this new screen, press 7 times on the right. Then 1 time again. You should see this screen :
Now if you go back to the mode selection, you can choose a mode and go to home screen with no dialog "Only practice single mode available in beta".
Stats are available for "Tennis serve" sessions but categorized as Practice. Then each serve (in or out) is represented by a yellow in ball. But the % of in ball is correct.
Like I said in my previous post,I didn't figure out how to play a single match then good luckThanks a lot. I could do it, too. Now I can select other modes. I'll play doubles tomorrow, so I'll check how it goes with doubles match.

Come on, if you are going to insult other posters’ intelligence, at least use the correct “its”working out it's bugs for the owner of the company

I tried it today again indoors but as you can see the lights are bad and the court lines are hard to see even with the eye
It worked good for side lines but not baseline shots that went deep. Also it still stops from reporting from time to time and I noticed it picked up my yellow shoes as balls
Yes, the Sync Now option fails on me, which is why I can never view anything. It starts to upload and then just quits. After you are done with a session, you need to connect the device to your phone/computer via the app. It will give you an option to upload the session to the cloud, so switch back to wifi and upload. A few minutes later when you go to "Summary" or "Activity" on the app, you should have those sessions available to view.
Yes, I could see the court and I moved the tripod around and even got it pretty close to where it would be on the net post. I am going to take the machine out tomorrow morning and play with it. That will give me some time to play around with it without having other players waiting on me.I use the net post but the L plate is a little higher because of the cushion I put in.
Do you see the court on the screen properly?

I am trying to synch the sessions to the web from my Nexus 6P. It loaded one session but not the other 7.I had both beep and light off when I first recorded a session. Video replay on the device didn't show any sign of calls. I synchronized this session but nothing happened like you described above. Next time I had both beep and light on. Video replay on the device beeped but didn't lit at calls. I synchronized this session and then it was processed.
I had the same issue with my Nexus 5 several times. The last time, I had 5 sessions on one of my device (#2), the first one was recorded with my two devices paired, and the others with only this device (#2). This "paired" session was uploaded with success to the cloud with my other device (#1). And upload with the device #2 failed on this first session and didn't continue with the others. I'm root on my phone and figure out how to fix it. I noticed that the file of this session is 0kb. I deleted it and could upload the 4 others sessions. Directory is /data/data/tennis.inout.inout/files/sessions.I am trying to synch the sessions to the web from my Nexus 6P. It loaded one session but not the other 7.
A good point. Not yet tested. I will try soon with big interest. Thanks to share.I uploaded all the sessions. It's nice to watch the video replay with the stats. It only shows the parts where points are played and skips boring parts.
Same behavior with simplesThe doubles match mode wasn't. It keeps waiting for the serve. I couldn't get it past. I could change the service side by touching the monitor but couldn't change deuce or ad. It's obviously not mature yet.
Why would a cheater agree to use any device not sanctioned by the UEFA or ITF?When it will be til ALL the clubs will have this device installed as part of the court equipement ?? To end all cheating in USTA leagues once and for all.
For me, the in/out is a tennis stats device. The $250 is well worth the depth and height analysis.
I think had the inventor positioned it against the tennis sensors, it would have been better received.

What’s your benchmark for accuracy?.
I had an outing today. It was all sunny, no clouds, in the morning. I had hard time calibrating the court. Automatic never worked. Intense light started working after several tries. It might be good to put a sun screen or shield in front of the camera when the sun is very strong.

I captured 7 sessions. The device tracked the ball fairly well in the first session. But then started spotting someone's shoe or shadow quite often, and ignoring the ball. The software should find a way to eliminate those junk spotting by the time it releases the doubles match.

99% accurate, 100% trustworthy
vs. the reality:
The device ignores the ball and tracks people's shoes and random shadows.
99% accurate, 100% trustworthy. Suuuuuure.
Thank you. Clearly the device doesn't come close to that claim, yet, in terms of being "trust worthy".
The inventor also indicated this is a "beta" version. Those releases are not for everyone. Some of the buyers are willing to work through during this phase and some may Not be as tolerant. If the device exits Beta and still has same issues, then it would be a false claim.
I'm into this device for stats, not line calls and I'm ok if it those stats are not 99%. I would consider this device a success if it can get 75-80% of the stats for me.
Go awayTo the contrary. The header for the website reads:
The $199 Ready-to-Use Line Call Device
The device is obviously not ready to use as this thread documents time and time again. As the company states, it is a LINE CALL DEVICE first and foremost. You are skirting around this issue by talking up it's other features which are intended as secondary in importance. It's like spending 9/10ths of a review on an automobile's cup holders when the engine doesn't even start. It's a strange yet obvious form of denial.
Nor does the company give any indication that the device is a "beta." That's a term I've been using as a euphemism for 'lemon.' You are confused.
Definitely in these early stages, because line calling is so ultimate but stats and video are more forgivable.
Imagine though, a stats device that records your matches, automatically cuts/edits the video, overlays serve & winner speed and gives you a graphical shot analysis or recap? Amazing! This device can do that too.
Just had 2x these picked up from my local post depot that has been sitting there for while due to them not contacting me.
Had a £30 customs fee to pay (in UK).
Looking forward to having a play, although a little disappointed from what I have read on here regards it's lack of consitency in recognising the courts and line calling.
It seems then that people are getting better results using a tripod than net attached?
I may try to fix to a tripod, but I think I may be a little worried that a stray ball catches the camera and sends it crashing!
The light posts at my club are also between the courts in line with net so I am wondering if I can fix somehow to one of those.
Any other particular gotches when setting up or using that others have learnt the hard way?
