This was back when Malisse and Hass were trying to crack into ATP Tour, 1996 or 7. I was at Nick B's and they used to practice together a lot (at least for the time I was there).

Malisse was using Prince Micheal Chang Longbody MP and Hass was using Head Premiere Tour. Malisse broke a string and didn't have a spare racket, so he borrowed Hass's racket to continue practicing.

Apparently, Malisse liked it a lot and asked "Do they make this in longbody?". He told Hass he liked the racket and Hass replied with a grin "That's why I use it."

Malisse seemed like a pretty laid back guy and let me take a look at his racket when I asked him.

Only when he goes besirk over stringing jobs when he is own game is to blame than he is not so relaxed. And I think his hair style should be reserved to Borg and the young Federer.

Do you know if he uses still his mythic Babolat Fibertour string or he has switched? In the pic it seems that he has a black string.

he's using luxilon element and gut hybrid.. Couldn't get hold of anymore fibertour - he bought all that was left from the warehouse and it's now gone!!

Nope.. Lux mains.. gut cross.. I know he spoke to Yonex about some frames also but only early talks

Very interesting, I've always been a huge fan of Malisse, and I hope to see him often play on the Senior Tour. I'm curious about his possible switch to Yonex.

You are right! Malisse plays with a Yonex now!

I think a Vcore pro 100. But his string setup seems a full of any white strings. Have you any information about it?

It's a Vcore 100 Pro extended to 28" and customised at DC in Belgium. Last I heard he was trying gut and Lxn element but that is not what is in there in the pic!

Does this look to you the same throat of thr his old Prince? So he came back to it from the Vcore pro 100, and now using also a black poly strings. Maybe @onkystomper has information about it.

I actually think those old diablos in the first post are now in my possession. I use them as my daily drivers.

Funny thing is I also have tried VCP 100s extended to 28" but like the precision retro better as well.

Yes mate, it is just his old Diablo painted black with the paint coming off. He only has about 5 left so not sure how long he will get out of them...
