I find the compression does loosen up with time on the court. I also went up half size from my normal 9.5 in the ZZ to a 10 in the GPs.
They do loosen up. Went up 1/2 size as well, but after few matches, I started feeling slight heel slippage. Might go down to my true size. Love the shoe.

I ordered an 11.5 as that’s my normal size and a 12. 11.5 was snug in the toebox and 12 felt great but was too big and heel kept sliding. I ended up sending them both back because I felt I was just trying to settle on one vs the other when neither fit correctly. They were very comfortable however and now hearing how well they loosened up after playing I’m tempted to order again...

What Cage are you wearing? I have worn the 3’s and they aren’t the most comfortable shoe to me.

I’ve wanted to try the Vapor Cage but it just gets old ordering shoes trying them on and sending them back over and over again.

I have a pair of Cage 2, 3 and 4 now.

I take 6.5 in the 3 and 6 in the others. If that helps.

The grey and blue turbo gp looks great, waiting on a date for that one?? The agassi inspired turbos are a big disappointment. The mixture of colors looks like clown shoes and def not like the orig atc3, which were one of the best looking challenge court shoes.

Are the 4’s more comfortable than the 3’s?

I believe so, but I haven't played in them yet. I just wore them around the house, I know I should keep them but I'm still undecided since I don't 'need' them right now.

Nothing is more comfy than the 2s. Those things are like pillows.

I've seen Svitolina and Osaka wearing GPs during on court training videos they've posted. Whether that translates to match usage I don't know. I am currently jealous of the PE Challenge Court colored Zoom Zeros that Anisimova got...

In a nutshell, they are really narrow and low height wise in the toe box. I’ve used a shoe stretcher to make them considerably more tolerable.
A lot of padding in the shoe bed.
Quite a heavy shoe at about a pound each.
I’ve got the Agassi design. The look is awesome.
But, I don’t wear them to play tennis. They’re my casual showstopper kicks.
That‘s how I dooz it

I gave some thoughts earlier in this thread, BUT after playing in them consistently the last two months I have noticed one issue: forefoot lateral stability. Often when pushed very wide in the deuce court and making an aggressive stop my forefoot and little toe on my right foot feels like it presses/pushes beyond the outsole causing a very sore feeling pain (almost the exact position as the Tiafoe promo pic from AO20). It makes me a little hesitant when moving that direction and that is never good as the goal of a great shoe is to not have think about it about. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but with the design of the toe box and materials maybe its just not that supportive; never had this problem with LB 1.5, Vapor 9/9.5. I stand by the zoom system as being the most comfortable and responsive Nike in decades, but for me I don't think I can continue, will prob sell my extra Challenge Court color way pair and move on the Vapor Cage 4.

I wear Adidas barricade boost b4. Currently using fresh foam LAV. But the outsole wear out fast compared to barricades. Would this GP turbo have the same forefoot width? I think I'm flat footed and a bit wide feet. Thinking of buying a new shoes.

Size 10Us Vapor x corresponds to 9.5Us Vapor cage 4, which corresponds to which GpTurbo size?
Thanks

For now it has brought no luck to Tiafoe on clay; only Parma but is challenger no ATP tournament

I guess it doesn't really refer to Holliday, as some vapor pro colors that the site reported 2-3 week ago are now on the market ...I don't know

There's also a clay version available at European retailors:

I am aware of the clay version but I really don't like the colorway. Kind of makes it look like clown shoes to me. That's why I was wondering whether the hardcourt version would work well on clay.

However, in the end I'm still going to buy this awkward looking clay version because I don't want to spend my money on something that might disappoint me performance wise. I'll get over the looks after a while.

But this hardcourt coloring is the same as clay (white, red and blu)...

Just bought my first pair of these and I'm pretty excited. My VC4s are done. Found a pair on the big auction site, made an offer for $55 and it was automatically accepted. Should have gone lower!

I went up one half-size. Will I regret it?

I sized up and it was the right decision.

Thanks. I'm pretty stoked. Been wanting to try them for a while and my size is tough to find. Super stoked to get them for less than half of retail. Listed as used, but the sticker on the sole is intact.

how much life did you get out of yours? Any downsides?

They are more durable than I expected. Going on over 3.5 months so far. They probably have another 1.5 months left. Very pleased with the durability I’m seeing so far. Downside is the toebox isn’t very tall.

Hmm ok.

I just realized that I've been rotating the same two pairs of VC4 for over a year. Oof

I typically go through a pair of shoes in 3-4 months so 5 months is long for me. I play 3 times a week. Each session is 2-4 hours.

Same, in terms of frequency. I am very lightweight so I probably keep my shoes longer than I should because I don't wreck the outside quickly.

I did a little test by pressing the insole with my finger. My used pair feels a LOT softer than the new pair.

I went up a half size, and that works perfectly for me, but in my case it's because I have a medium to wide foot.

The upper does break in and you do get extra space so it may depend on how roomy you like your shoes in the long run.
