Doesnt matter. If Rafa is fit he will smoke Djokovic at all 4 Majors. Took Djokovic 4 hours to beat Nadal on one foot last time they met. Before that foot went it was 5-0. Surface does not make that much of a difference.
If Rafa is fit he will dominate next season.

Stop the trolling lol
I know it's your thing but no one even needs him to do all that. He's got 20 slams, without ridiculous propaganda. He could never win another match and he's firmly in the GOAT convo.

Where did i say he needs to do anything? Im happy if he retires today. He has achieved all i want him to. I am in no doubt history will view him as Goat due to the golden slam and 13 FOs.
my point is given how abysmal he tour is now if he gets fit i see no reason why he could not win at least 2 majors next season. However im not fussed if he does or doesnt as the moment he won Roland Garros 2020 he sealed the deal.

Nadal: "It doesn't make sense to practise without the goal of being better"

The Mallorcan tennis player was taking part in the inauguration of a conference on innovation, technology and education

Rafa Nadal was in conversation with the president of Telefónica | EFE

This Tuesday in Madrid, Rafael Nadal said he thought it "vital" to have objectives because not fixing goals to keep on improving made things "much more difficult".

In a conversation with the president of Telefónica, José María Álvarez-Pallete, during the inauguration of the international conference on innovation and technology in education "enlightED 2021 Hybrid Edition" presided over by King Felipe VI, the Spanish tennis star reflected on how he motivates himself to keep aiming for new challenges

35-year-old Nadal emphasised that he faces "each day eager and enthusiastic to learn" and that it was essential for him to practise "with the aim of improving something". He said the motivation to improve was what kept you an elite athlete: "It really helps you a lot mentally, to be alert and active. I don't understand life any other way. Practising for practising's sake, without the aim of improving, even though you don't succeed, makes no sense, it's boring."

Nadal focused his intervention on the values he holds important in life and in sport, and the role of education in present day society: "You always achieve something with effort, dedication and humility: you improve, make progress."

He highlighted the relevance that always having the same team around him has had in his career as an athlete: "A relationship of trust is established that allows them to say things with total freedom. Having people around me who are willing to tell me things as they see them, without thinking how or when they should say them to me is one of the best decisions I have been able to take in my career."

Although (in reply to a question from King Felipe) Nadal admitted that modern technology had gained importance in training methods, he warned that "without passion, effort and people around you that help you", it's difficut to achieve your goals".

He also stressed the need to be self-critical and "admit when you make mistakes without looking for excuses". Nadal, who has always been an example of humility and effort, said he never wanted to be anybody's model, but just to follow his own path.

THE RAFA NADAL FOUNDATION'S ALTRUISTIC WORK

He also spoke about his Foundation, which celebrated its tenth anniversary this year, and of the "satisfaction" it gives him to be able to help 900 needy families.

The very solidary Nadal said he was grateful for the life he had lived and wanted to return what society had given him: "I have been very lucky to be born where I was born and that life has smiled on me in every respect. It's only fair to have to give back something to society. The people that life smiles on have the obligation to be examples to society," he maintained.

FRANCE 24 also says that Rafa is going to play 2 tournaments before the Australian Open:

¤¤ Nadal targets Australian Open warm-up return in December

Paris (AFP): ¤¤ Rafael Nadal, who has been out with a foot injury since losing in the semi-finals of the French Open, said on Monday (1st November, at the Babolat event in Paris) that he wants to return in December in Abu Dhabi, as he targets the Australian Open in January.

"My plan is to play Abu Dhabi in December and then in a tournament before Australia and then the Australian Open. That's my goal," the Spaniard said at a sponsor event in Paris. "We're working hard to make it happen."

Nadal won the Australian Open in 2009 and has lost in the final four times since then.
The 35-year-old Spaniard could face a weakened field as uncertainty swirls around the Covid-19 rules for players coming into Melbourne for the first Grand Slam of next year which runs from January 17-30 in Melbourne.
World number one Novak Djokovic said on Sunday he would make his mind up about whether he defends his title when an official decision is made regarding players and vaccinations.

Nadal hopes to be there.

"I don't know exactly when I'll be back," he said on Monday.
"But I can say that my goal is to try to come back to Abu Dhabi in December, and then, of course, for the start of the new season in January."
"The injury in my foot still needs to get a little better, but I'm already training almost an hour and a half a day so that's positive. Some days are better than others, but I'm starting to have a lot more positive days than negative ones. So I'm on the right track," he said.
"I'm training, I'm feeling better. I'm back on the court," he said.

In early September, Nadal announced that he had undergone treatment on his left foot that would keep him "away from the courts for several weeks".
He suffers from Muller-Weiss syndrome, a degenerative disease that causes a deformity of one of the bones in the central part of the foot. ¤¤

Practice in Mallorca

November 2, 2021

Rafa has mainly practiced indoors after undergoing treatment of foot pain related to a congenital anomaly of a tarsal bone in the left foot. He took a break from tennis after undergoing the treatment on September 13 and returned to the practice courts around October 9. He has been seen practice outdoors only a few times since then. He said in Paris yesterday that he has practiced for an hour and a half a day.

Relaxing Time

Rafa went to El Gamonal restaurant in Marbella, a coastal city in southern Spain, on Saturday night. It's a family restaurant. The owners wrote on Instagram that they were very happy to have Rafa as their guest at their restaurant.

Pictured with owners of the restaurant (Click the forward icon to see both pictures):
Rafa is a restaurant entrepreneur, that's probably the reason he visited the restaurant kitchen. :)

With a DJ who was hired for an event held at the restaurant:

There is no info available about why he travelled to Marbella. Maybe it's a business trip? This summer, the investment company owned by two Spanish businessmen and Rafa (33%), bought 50,000 square meters of land in Marbella to build luxury single-family villas on. The land is situated next to the estate of the Abu Dhabi royal family. Post #29,697:
