    GAMMA Progression 200 vs. X-2

    As others have stated the machines are the same. However, I have found the X-2 to be a little easier to carry from room to room because of the narrower base. I also like the drawer on the X-2 for storing certain tools.

    I have no experience with your exact machine but if you have a flying clamp you could clamp the strings from the top. Just a thought.

    Winter stringing

    I do the same as others and drop tension 2-4 lbs but I also switch from 17 gauge to an 18 gauge. Just personal preference.
