I'm a serve and volley player also and i agree it can be hard to consistently serve and volley today but it is still effective against a lot of players because you can use their powerful returns and send a winner anywhere on the court. It is also good to make your opponet nervous so he will hit...

There really is no best serve to serve and volley on. You have to keep mixing things up, a slice or kick serve are always good to use if you place them well enough. I guess if I had to pick the best one it would be the kicker into the body.
