    Recommendation for Female Improver Racket

Another vote for blade 104! My wife uses it, but it’s a racquet I love to hit with as well. We string with HG at 50 or 52

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

These are all nicknames from the Holic thread. Lots of discussion of these racquets there. Prokennex KI Q+ 5 Pro - 2019 version. If I have this right, the 2021 version has been named the Bannana and the extended version of the 2021 the Top Bananna. Non-Pro version is, I believe, the Bannana...

    Ti Radical OS Revisited

Anyone remember the Ti.Classic? Considered by some (I personally have no idea) to be the Ti version of the Prestige, I have a few from the 90s. Strung one up the other day and it was a great hit. Nice power and control. Good enough to earn more playing time.

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

The “fun hit” was exactly my rationale! Will have both strung with HG at 50. For the Doppio, next step my be to go to 52. Haven’t tried BK, but think you made a good call on tension. I go with 48 on Blade and wanted to go up. Just didn’t go far enough I think.

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

TW references this as a “cosmetic update”, but looks like 2021 version has thinner beam and is more flexible. Is new Green version basically an all new racquet? I am considering buying blind and am trying to decide which to get. Any additional opinions on 2019 vs 2021 tour pro as well as the...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Would the Doppio be a racquet of this type as well or a step toward the Tweener category relative to the choices above? I’ve hit with the Eurostaff, but not the other two. Liked it a lot, but elbow hurt after consecutive days hitting with it. Would Doppio be closest PK to the Euro?

How does the Blade 100 compare to the PS 100 in terms of power? Big difference one way or the other?

help with moving on from the Wilson blade V7

I’ve actually been asking the same question. Using the V7 16x19, but would like a bit more power, but without sacrificing much control. Elbow issues with some racquets. Tried the Prostaff 100 tonight and liked it. Would one of the Pro Kennex racquets make sense as a higher powered blade...

Blade V6 2021 (finally without CV)

Didn’t they re-release actual 2015 Blades in Europe on a number of websites? They appreat to be sold out now, but I nearly bought a 16x19. Anyone know the story there?

BurnLSv4, Blade100Lv7, or Ezone100L -- If you were buying a racquet for a 14 year old beginner who wanted to REALLY learn?

My daughter is 14 and also learning tennis at the moment. She’s about 5’ 5” and has had is growth spurt and has some muscle. She uses my wife’s blade v7 104 and really likes it. Very forgiving, gives some extra power vs my 98s and a little extra head size is helpful. Might be worth considering.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Disappointing to hear about the Blade 100 v7. Having enjoyed both the 98 16x19 and 104 16x19 for slightly different reasons, was hoping the 100 would bring out the best, not the worst, of each.

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

If the feel is the same as the 16x19, but with a bit more power and spin, could be a really nice racquet, falling between the 98 and 104. Still, hard for me to buy with the V8 right around the corner. Anyone placed an order for the 100 or planning to demo?

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

Maybe this means the V7s will stay around for an extended period after the V8s came out? No reason to launch a new racquet with a life of just a few months. If that’s the case, you would think the V8s would be more than a cosmetic update…

    Rpm Blast/ Head Velocity

While hybrid strings may still be the answer, I have the same 16x19 racquet and found it to be dramatically better (for me) with hyper G string at 48. Some would say go even lower, but haven’t tried that yet.

    2021 Blade

I was actually thinking about buying a used 2015 Blade for exactly this reason, but can't decide between the 18x20 and 16x19. In the V7, I prefer the 16x19 for the increase spin and bit if extra pop (at least to me), but wish I could have the extra control/precision of the 18x20. Would the...

String Tension - Summer vs Winter

Was curious how to think about string tension in the summer vs winter. Play year around outdoors here in Atlanta with temps in the 40s. Switched to Hyper G at 48 this inter and loved it. If I wanted racquet to play exactly the same in the summer, would I increase the tension a bit? If so...

What is best racquet for a high school varsity tennis player (girl)?

I'd second the suggestion on the Blade V7 104 (non-SW). Both my daughter (14) and wife play with it and like it a lot. Easy on the arm and good combination of power and control. Extra head size is a nice bonus - makes it a bit more forgiving. We have ours strung with Hyper G at 48, but...

Blade 98 V7 string and tension you use

Hyper G at 48lbs. Agree with earlier post, lower tensions work extremely well with this racquet.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Have been enjoying hitting with the Eurostaff, though I’m having trouble deciding if I like it more or less than my Blade 16x19. Seem to sail a lot more shots long with the Eurostaff. Question - has anyone compared the Eurostaff side by side with Prostaff Precision? They look very similar...

    Tennis racquet “fitting”

PGA Tour Superstore in Atlanta (since closed) had an indoor tennis court and tons of different racquets available to demo in the store. No incremental charge, but you could try racquets prior to purchase. Tried it a few times. Trick was that you had to bring someone to the store to hit with...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Out of curiosity, who “discovered” this racquet and introduced it to the thread? Out of curiosity, what led you to first try it? Is it a “known” racquet in Europe? just noticed it’s now sold out in most sizes. The tennis point guys must be scratching their heads trying to figure out what...

Which current Head Graphene 360+ Racket feels most like a Wilson Blade 98 v7

Given that, would it make sense to try the no-CV Blade V6? Same Blade DNA, but without the Feel Flex? Haven’t hit with it, but 2015 Blades are considered to have a bit more power I believe.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

My Eurostaff came in today as well - looks like it’s heavier than most - weighed in at 306.2 unstrung. Not sure how to measure balance. It immediately went off the the stronger. Going to try it with Hyper G 17 @50. String my Blade 16x19s at 48. thanks to everyone for the fun commentary...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Thanks for your help on this. I couldn't resist - placed an order for a Eurostaff and am also in the "obtaining clearance information" step. Probably crazy to do this without the benefit of a demo, especially given that I actually like my V7s a lot, but seems ideal based on all these...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Long time reader, first time poster to the thread... I currently play with the Wilson Blade, currently have several versions of the V7 - the 16x19 98,18x20 98, and the 104 16x19 (non SW). While I typically hit with the 16x19, the 104 might actually be my favorite. Have been very intrigued by...
