    Wow..

I use the Pure control Tour with some lead lead so can't comment about a customized Pure control. I think different players experience and perceive control in different ways. I also realize that players control the ball in different ways for example some control the ball with spin, some with...

    Bonjour from Babolat: Part Deux

@Babolat Official Thank you for your great contribution here. It's commendable to have a representative from a manufacturer directly communicating with consumers as well as assisting in a friendly and informative manner. Would you be able to provide information as to whether the Pure Control...

Thanks. If you don't mind, at what tension do you string your poly to get the control?

    TFight 315 Dynacore Customizations

I believe that it's a pretty open 16x19 pattern. How do you find the control of the racquet in comparison to other 16x19 racquets? Thanks.

some deep analysis of Novak's frame

@RanchDressing, Thanks a ton for the informative reply. That makes sense that it likely simply boosts the twist weight too much. I agree that adding weight to the lower part of the hoop significantly increases the power of the lower hoop. I would even say to the extent that it feels strange...

some deep analysis of Novak's frame

@RanchDressing, I would like to thank you for taking the time to make your videos. I have enjoyed watching them (admittedly haven't watched all as of yet). They are extremely interesting, informative and I have learnt a lot from them. I have two questions please if you don't mind. - How...

2 Blades and a Pure Strike - My Demo Thoughts...

Thanks for the great comments about these racquets. I use the 16x19 blade (customized) and have very similar findings to you. With regard to the serve, for me that is the strongest aspect of the racquet, but as you said, with your regular string setup and finding the right tension I think you...

    New Wilson Racquets 2016

I'm not sure if the 16x19 blade is being discontinued or not, but from what I understand it comes out later than the 18x20 model. I may be wrong, but from what I remember from the 2015 version it came out around 4-6 months after the 18x20 was released which I think came out at the end of 2014.

What strings are the college kids using these days?

Herb, thanks for your reply and info. That's interesting, I would have thought that the 18x20 blade would have been quite a bit more popular than the 16x19, but it seems that the 16x19 is getting more popular with college players. I use the 16x19 (customized) and can see why college players...

What strings are the college kids using these days?

If you don't mind me asking, do some of the blade users use the 16x19 blade or do the vast majority use the 18x20 blade? Thanks.

Wilson Blades - Tell Me About Them....

I have not used the 18x20 model so cannot make a comparison, but have been using the 16x19 model for a short while. I think it's an excellent racquet with a good balance of power and control. It seems to be quite a polarizing racquet in the sense that some like it a lot it and some do not at...

    pure control tour

I use Pro Line ll 17 gauge and for me it suits the racquet pretty well. It has some pretty nice power and decent spin and it compliments the control character of the racquet. I haven't tried it with a hybrid yet, but think it may play pretty well with a hybrid too.

    pure control tour

I use it from time to time and used it a lot during last summer. It's a great racquet. It's very comfortable, has excellent feel and has a ton of control. Stock, it was a little under powered, but once you lead it up a little it has some some nice power. I put most of the lead at the 12...

    New Blade 98 16x19 Vs 2013 Blade 16x19

I have the 2013 16x19 (have only had it for about three months) and recently got the 2015 16x19. I think both the 2013 and 2015 versions are fantastic racquets that have good power, spin and even pretty decent control. Both are also solid and stable. The differences between the 2013 and 2015...

    Comparisons between Blade 98 16x19 (2015) and Blade 98 S (2015)

I haven't tried the 98 S, but have played the 2013 16x19 (have only had it for about two months) and recently got the 2015 16x19 and thought I would at least give my thoughts on the 16x19 in case you have tried the 2013 version and are wondering as to the differences to the 2015 version. I think...

    Blade 98s or 16x19 ...coming from Warrior100/Steam100

Would be very interested in getting your thoughts about it once you have hit with it. I also just recently got one (16x19) and have only played one short time with it. So far so good, but would need more time with it to get a better feel as to how it plays. So far I can tell that it has a lot...

    New blade 98 16x19 version

If there are any that have used the 2015 Blade 16x19, I would appreciate getting your thoughts. Specifically as to it's comfort and control. There seem to be conflicting views on the control of this racquet. It appears that it has good power and there should be ample spin from the open string...

Thanks again for the info and the great video clip. That is some great hitting. I actually watched a little of that match and was very impressed with Goffin. He hits a great ball and is very quick. I must also say that it looks like the Blade really suits him as a player. About the power of...

Live by the Blade...Die by the Blade...

How would you compare it quality/playablity wise to the 2015 16x19 or even the 2013 16x19? Do you think the 2015 18x20 has enough power including put away power? How would you compare the power level to the 16x19 version? Also, my understanding is that the spin potential difference is not...

    Babolat Pure Control Tour strings.

I am currently using Pro Line ll 17 Mains and 17L Crosses in it at 51 and it plays great. I find it comfortable, but due to the pain currently in your elbow and wrist, you may want to hybrid a poly with a Multi or as mentioned by others natural gut. I find the PCT somewhat unique in that it...

To Andy: what makes you to go Ai98 From Blade?

Andy, thanks for your helpful input in this thread. I just have a question. You mentioned that you put lead tape at the 3 and 9 positions to reach the specs that you wanted. After playing with this racquet for a little while do you find that lead at 3 and 9 is enough for this frame? I'm...

    Babolat Pure Control Tour

I have been trying this racquet out and have been using it with a leather grip (Babolat leather). I think it feels great with a leather grip and an overgrip. I haven't tried it with the regular replacement grip that the racquet comes with (I believe it's Skin Feel), but have no doubt that it...
