Pure Strike 18x20 Gen 2

Brilliant racket once leaded up, definitely a favorite... I played with all of them, Pure Storm Ltd thru the Pure Control 95, using a gut/poly hybrid... Still have a few.

For me, it's the toss... If I toss more towards 12:00 I get a bit of top on my flat serve, 12:30 -ish and it has a bit of slice. If my 'flat' has a bit of top it seems like it 'jumps', if it has a bit of slice it seems like it 'skids' and stays low. HTH, YMMV, try at your own risk, yada yada...

Can anyone compare the Gen3 to the Gen2 18x20? @TWStaff ?

FWIW... I use VS Team (1.25mm) in the mains @52# and Alu Power Soft (1.25mm) in the crosses @ 48# in my Gen2 18x20s. One time my stringer didn't have the VS Team and put the Touch (1.30) in the mains and the difference was remarkable, the racket felt 'muted' for lack of a better descriptor...

FWIW, it might not last long in a 16x19, I only got about 4 hrs out of it in a Pure Drive Tour... I'm getting 15 -ish hrs out of it in my Gen 2 PS 18x20.

I guess I'm one of 'those guys'... at least I probably seem like it to the folks around here anyway. I played Jr's, 10 and under thru 18's, but I quit when I was 17 (1980) and hadn't even looked at a tennis racquet until a couple years ago. I've completely re-worked my game to use 'modern'...

I'm begging... Please state which racquet you're talking about (16x19, 18x20, or Tour) in your posts, we're already at 3 pages and it's a pain to go back through and try to figure out what you're testing. Thanks
