    Question on balance

you meant 0.15 ? If one HL point higher equals to minus 0.015 then it doesn’t add up, unless I’m totally off with this

Head Lynx Tour - Official Thread

well… racquets , tension , string bed setup.. always have to be considered. I only played with lynx tour on ezone 98+ as cross with gut mains and the orange I only played on Ezone 100+ on full bed or as mains. One thing for sure: orange is the most comfortable, packs a greater punch. The one I...

Head Lynx Tour - Official Thread

I played with all the colours. Orange is the more comfortable, more pop and yet having great control and spin. Grey is the stiffest, more muted, yet with the exact same characteristics. Natural is in between natural and orange. I really think Lynx Tour either full bed, crosses or mains is one of...

Head Lynx Tour - Official Thread

so I’m a big fan of lynx tour 1.25 orange on my Ezone 100+ . Because the 1.25 is indeed heavier and messes a bit with the already low head light (2 HL) I just bought the 1.20 black from TW. Did you guys suggest increasing tension due to being a thinner gauge ?

    Crosses for Poly Mains

I wanted in 1.20 .. as head lynx tour is only on 17 and is quite heavy already! can’t find syn gut in blue!

    Crosses for Poly Mains

Right - things are improving… lynx tour 17 orange mains at 50 with yptp blue 18 at 48 is a much good combo. Better control, same pocketing, the lynx tour does keep the ball long and in.. whereas a full bed of yptp 18 at 48 was very slippery, lacked bite and was too springy. after 4 league sets...

    Sponsorship changes 2022?

    Crosses for Poly Mains

As it seems that everyone agrees that poly/synt gut is a more sensible approach in terms of playability and duration, I got myself looking into Babolat, Wilson, Volkl as it seems that only these brands offer it in 17g on blue colour which I love. Any preference or significant differences or...

    Tension recommendation

Hey guys had to share my experience from this weekend playing a leagues match. So to summarise I’ve moved from the 98+ VS17 56lbs / KMP 18 54 lbs to 100+ full bed of PTP 1.20 at 48/46. Summary: - EZ 100+ although HL 2 compared to HL5 for the EZ 98+ is a totally different racquet.. it feels...

    Tension recommendation

if 100+ is a more powerful frame why 44 instead of 45 as suggested for less powerful sister 98+ ?

    Tension recommendation

On the last couple of years I’ve been using VS 17 / Lynx Tour 17 or KB Max Power 18 at 56/54 I’ve now decided to go full bed of poly as craving some better control and to be fair natural gut doesn’t last long over the winter in UK. I’ll start my journey with YPTP 1.2 and Cyclone 1.15 . I’ll...

    Solinco Hyper G

interesting, I was just reviewing the data on TW strings compare and cyclone 1.15 has a tension loss of 30% compared to ptp of 33% and HPGS of 26% and in terms of stiffness cyclone 1.15 is 188 , ptp 1.20 is 189 and HPGS 17 is 195 On the paper it looks like PTP 1.2 is very cumular to Cyclone...

    Help with HL

I've been playing for a year or so with VS 17 / LT 17 at 56/53 on my EZ 98+ ... I crave more forgiveness , whilst maintaining the power of the extended racquet. Hence the move to EZ 100+ and then moving away from gut mains... was recommended to go for LT 17 as it was familiar but strung at 48...
