New Balance Fresh Foam X CT-Rally

Do they not make this for clay? Loving it for hard court but needed one for clay as it’s mostly what I play on.

Help me decide my racquet for 2024, and put an end to the racquetholism (for at least a year)

Holy crap that’s too many rackets. Read the first couple of posts and we have very similar taste and similar game/strokes. I thought I had settled with my Speed MP until I tried the Percept 100.. give that one a try if you haven’t. PS: so many good things about the Blade 100.. thinking of...

    Measuring a racquet's head size????

Apologies for reviving this lol.. couldn't help it. Why can't you just wrap a string around the inner border of the unstrung racquet, and divide it by 4 to make a square, then get the area? Regardless of what shape the racket is, the area itself shouldn't change as you change the shape of the...

Official Swingweight, Twistweight, Static Weight, Balance measurements of your frames - Data thread

I'm using the Briffidi to measure my rackets. All readings I see for twistweight seem to be for strung rackets. Can it be compared to unstrung readings? For SW for instance, we all know that it's around +30 points when strung with your average poly.

Matching some strings to racquets - opinions needed!

I have some racquets and strings in the bag and thought it would be interesting to get opinions of combinations you might have tried that are either winners or something to be completely avoided, as I haven't tried these specific strings in any of the current racquets I still have (playing them...

Good option between a Head Speed MP and Yonex Vcore?

I would first try a little bit of lead at 12' on the Speed for added power. Then if you really like the Vcore and think you can adapt, just go with it. You'll never find something that's 100% across all aspects.

Good result or greater fun? How to balance it

I think he meant $0 haha.. If you're playing for money than it should be straightforward - no reason to not get as much help from the frame as you can if you need it

Good result or greater fun? How to balance it

I think it depends on what you step into the court for. Are you competitive / get a kick out of winning matches? If so, powerful racquet is a no brainer. But if you play for fun then I say get what feels better. PS: also have the same dilemma, for now the frame that seems to hit the sweetspot...

    Head Speed MP 2022

Good thing about Head is it’s easy to swap the pallet. If you live in Europe you can also get Unstrung Customs to 3D print a Babolat pallet for you..

    Head Speed MP 2022

Old Gravity Tour user here.. It plays nothing like the Speed MP, which is way more powerful, way higher launch angle, way more spin. Sweetspot is much larger though. Both great rackets but I don't see them as being similar.

Should Head have made Djokovic sponsor the Radical/prestige

I think all of their lines have a place, but I do think there are some crazy variants that are hard to explain like the Extreme Tour. My understanding: - Prestige: extreme control - Gravity: control, comfort, forgiveness with that massive head - Speed: versatile, best all-arounder for multiple...

Head Graphene 360+ Speed MP vs Prince Phantom 100x 305

Agreed. My Speed MP (360+, I have the new Auxetic in the bag but haven't strung it yet) came at 330SW strung. I leaded my Phantom 100X up to 326SW with weight at 12 o clock. At similar specs the Speed is way more powerful still. But the Phantom 100X is just an absolute joy to hit with due to the...

Head Graphene 360+ Speed MP vs Prince Phantom 100x 305

I have both and I don't think they're too similar honestly. Phantom has a much thinner beam, is more maneuverable due to that. The head is rounder so you get more forgiveness when hitting offcenter. It flexes way more, surprisingly it gives me a lower launch angle and less spin, and at the same...

    Best shoes for halux rigidus?

Tried the search but only old threads with no conclusion besides surgery and custom orthotics, which is one step ahead from where I'm at. Looking to know if there's any shoe that has come up recently that helps with this. Basically the front part of the shoe needs to be rigid enough that it...

    Head Speed MP 2022

Lynx Tour is VERY heavy. I weighed it before/after on my DR98, and it added 19.3g. Took SW measurements (Head 3-in-1) before and after on my TF40 16m and got +36. In contrast, I once did a before/after with a full bed of Velocity MLT in my Gravity Tour (18x20) and got +14.9g and +24 SW. So yes...

    HEAD TGK AND TGT 231.3

Oh wow cool thread. BUT - if TGTs don't have the commercial weights, what would fill that void? Also, howcome the TGTs in said thread do have the weights there...?

Really wanted to see what these "commercial weights" look like without having to take my racquets apart :). Anyone have any pictures?

    Head Speed MP 2022

So, that person was me lol... Let me explain the rationale and if it sounds absurd well then matter settled. Some players (esp pros) like the feel of having a silicone-filled handle for dampening, and leather grip to better feel the bezels. If you grab a retail Speed MP and try to do that...

HEAD Gravity Tour vs. Prince Phantom 100X 305

I was liking the more uniform weight distribution I got from swinging my DR98, but hated how stiff it felt. So I tried to replicate that in the Gravity and adding weight to the throat to depolarized seemed a bit logic, and it worked. It was mostly an educated guess tho lol

I actually only added weight to the throat of the GTour.. about 3g total

    Best 98inch without customization

Extreme Tour needs weight. It's a different racquet once you get it up to 330ish SW. Stock it gives very little power, my shots frequently landed too short. Tfight RS 300 is an amazing stick that plays way above its stated 300g. I found it to be good without mods for relaxed hitting, drills...

HEAD Gravity Tour vs. Prince Phantom 100X 305

Own both, I don't find them to be that similar.. Both are exceptional comfortable and controlled sticks.. Phantom 100X bends like crazy, less free power, needs weight. Launch angle is also way higher and it needs you to hit with decent spin. The racquet needs weight in the hoop or else you get...

    Tecnifibre TF40 (305) 16x19 2022

Can you go into a little more detail of the comparison against the 300 RS? Feel is very subjective, not sure what you mean.

    Tecnifibre TF40 (305) 16x19 2022

One handed backhand player here. Haven't tried the TF40 but I have a pair of RS 300s. I think it's borderline impossible to find something that's easier to play with than the RS 300 lol

    Tecnifibre TF40 (305) 16x19 2022

RS 300 owner here. Have a really hard time faulting that racquet, but my issue with it is that it just doesn't "wow" me, apart from being so freaking easy to use I guess. I wouldn't describe it as uncomfortable, but not plush either. You don't feel it flex at all. In that sense (feel at impact)...

Yonex Vcore Pro 100 vs Speed MP 360+?

Curious to know how they compare, especially since specs line up really closely, and many reviewers (i.e. MyTennisHQ) say it's "Yonex's equivalent of the Speed MP". Haven't really found much detail on the similarities and differences on youtube, especially when it comes to the feel at impact...
