Needs more people breaking in, Federer is not doing well at all lately (i've watched some old videos of him on youtube, I can not honestly say he has improved or even kept level). In fact; even though I am somewhat of a Federer fanboy, I find his play of late to be quite boring.

One thing that really helped me, I went outside of the tennis court and started looping balls over the fence. My kick serve went from all over the place to pretty decent(assuming im not having an awful serving day)

When I started I bought Head Titanium, that's what the guy recommended me. Those were horrible, horrible racquets. I wouldn't be afraid to buy a racquet from the sportchek here though. Carry really good racquets

Sounds like a really stupid question, and it probably is. But lets say comparing a K90 to a Babolat Aero Pro Drive with strokes that are exactly identical, what would the difference be? In other words what does more "power" mean(I keep getting really confused answers for this from anyone i ask...

It took me nearly a year to break my prestrung strings in my first racquet, my second racquet(the first racquet was basically done for when the strings broke) broke within hours of play(have to love syn gut).

I finish the 18th, 4 exams in two days. Guess it's not bad because I get the rest of the days off

I moved from about a 120 sq in head to a 90 sq in helps me focus actually IMO.

I'm not quite sure about my skill level, as I have been reworking my game tons lately. If I had to guess I'd guess around ~4.0 but I've never played anyone with a rating(still a HS student) I had no idea that SportChek sold quality racquets either, good to know

Ah I see, thanks for clearing that up. I guess I will get a reel of both(mini reel of topspin so it doesn't really matter if I dislike it). Would you recommend 16 or 17 gauge for the syn(not sure if this will matter much)?

I'd like to stay away from syn gut, I tend to break it very quickly(and as my game progresses i'm hitting harder with more spin) but thanks for the suggestion. Looks like it's not a good idea to get a reel then.

I hit with a k90, the strings are dead and I think its about time I invested in a stringer. Would a reel of this be a good choice to accompany the stringer? I hit with a lot of pace and try to get quite a bit of spin. Im also interested in the Pro Line II string, but definitely open to alternatives

I agree with this, I was watching Federer today and he was mishitting a ton of balls in the last set from my POV. But if Federer plays better tomorrow(today) I believe he can win.
