    Stringway ML 100

I have the T98 clamp system, a pain in the ***. One side glides nicely the other side is sticky sliding on the bar. Had them apart and cleaned etc, but have to keep adjusting to stop the clamps moving. Thank goodness I only string tension mainly at 46 lb. Stringing higher tensions the clamps...

    Current Favourite Ball?

As far as I am aware Cleanskin are winding down the business. The ITF and Tennis Australia approval has not been renewed. Would have liked to see them press on with the ball in the market.

    Ivanovic current specs and setup?

Well then she has been trying Tour Bite for a few months then. It was well before the Australian Open when she was using it. There was even a write up about her using Tour Bite in the Australian Tennis magazine. Have also heard other top WTA players have been using it.

    Stringing gauges.

My son loves the 1.15 but we were going through 2 racquets in a match. To compromise we are now using 1.25 mains and 1.15 crosses. lasts a lot longer now and he is happy with the setup.

    ***Stringway Machine Users Club***

I am an engineer also, with a workshop…. Yes machined from a block of aluminium. Adapting the Wise has just made stringing for “ME” just that bit quicker. Also for my daughter (aged 11) struggled with lifting the weight constantly. So using the Wise she is able to string racquets on her own...

What next? Breaking tb/vanquish pretty regular

Tour Bite and Vanquish is a real nice setup. My young daughter uses it and it lasts quite well for her. What we have done for harder hitters is used Tour Bite and Pro Stacked. That lasts a bit longer and is still a nice feel. Yes Tour Bite "Soft" will be a very good choice.

Donald Young doing another racquet switch?

Just won the next round in Brisbane also with the same racquet in the first photo. Had both the Solinco stencils on. I would definatly say it is a Solinco racquet.

    Grommets and 3D printing

I have a 3D printer sitting right next to me now. No way will it be sutable to print grommets. Something to hold and look at ok, but to use for real no way. The material will simply break with the thin sections of the grommet. I would say in the near future we will have the capability, but at...

    Luxilon Savage? Or Barbed Wire?

The Barb Wire is quite a nice string. We have had no issues with it. Find it a bit softer than Tour Bite. I know there are some pro players using it, so I carnt be too bad. Like all strings you really need to try them for your self. If the string is not for you, does not mean it is bad.

I can't buy Babalot tennis racquet here in Australia?

The big boys in the industry may not really care what Australians are paying. But there are some of the newer manufacturers that are supporting the Australian market. By this, the price in Australia is the same as the US price.

Whats the deal with Luxilon Strings?

Luxilon have been a clever company, very good product and smart marketing, and so have you all by your short and curlies. Anything you know about Solinco racquets is needed here.

I am starting to seeing a few popping up in the junior tournaments here in Australia. Mainly Pro7’s and Pro8’s. Asking how they perform, I got some positive feedback. Good control with the 18x20 pattern. One comment from a Dad was his son was now happy to move into the net when he struggled...
